Quick getaway to Blue Ridge

Great location, easy to access, ample parking, quiet area. Loved having the trail directly behind the cabin and checked it out the very first day. Gorgeous view from the cabin.

What a lovely peaceful cabin! Very comfortable and clean. The porch/deck was so nice and had amazing views! Super helpful customer service prior to stay. Bring parchment paper for oven since no aluminum allowed. Great access to hiking and all the local Blue Ridge activities. Thank you for a relaxing trip!

It was a nice cabin overall. Great view from the hot tub. Wasn't a light down there to see at night though. Other than that, it was a nice stay

Top notch communications with property management. Adhere to property owners directions to cabin. Cozy cozy cabin. Plenty of room for everyone. Fantastic views!!!! opportunities everywhere.

We had a really nice 3-nigh stay at the cabin; it's a great size for a couple with a dog (like us) or even a large family with several children. Inside it's very well appointed with plenty of TVs and the kitchen was stocked with all the utensils you'd need. The two decks were great and it's nice that both the outdoor dining area and hot tub have the same scenic mountain view. It rained most of our time there, but we enjoyed the cozy sound of rain on the tin roof; the hiking near the cabin was perfect for getting our dog out during the few breaks in the rain. Note that the DVD and game selection was quite limited so plan to bring your favorites. The only (minor) downside was no dishwasher, but our cooking was limited so not a big deal. I will note that when we arrived there was no hot water; however, we called the next morning and got a very fast response (turns out it was a tripped breaker that I was able to reset) so this didn't impact our stay. Overall I can definitely recommend this as a nice small cabin getaway near Blue Ridge.

We generally enjoyed our stay at this property. The views were great, and it felt a bit like being up in a tree house surrounded by trees.There were a few minuses, though. The cabin seems quite old, and it is showing its wear. The stairs to the upstairs bedroom are not up to current code, and they are steep with narrow treads. I would not recommend them for elderly folks or small children. There is no dishwasher. We planned to use the grill, but it would not light, and we could not find any matches.Also, the drive up to the property takes about 15 minutes from the main road. It provides seclusion and quiet, but the road is very winding, quite steep, and is one lane only. I would not recommend this property to people who are not used to mountain driving.

Mountain Stay

The drive up to the cabin was rough, but we got used to it after a couple of days. The view and screened porch is the best part of the cabin. I had to empty the dryer of towels and clean out the lint tray as the cleaning lady did not do it. Outdoor shower was unusable as it was full of leaves and very dirty. Porch could have been swept. Jacuzzi clean. The king bed is upstairs. The shower was tiny and was added and not in a bathroom, The bed was very squeaky. Linens are poor. We had trouble with the cable. Channels would show a "snow" screen frequently. WiFi good. There is plenty of wood, so don't buy on the way up like we did. Very quiet and beautiful neighborhood. I wouldn't stay again in this cabin, but we had a great time.

Book another cabin, not this one. We were very disappointed for the 4 nights we stayed. Would never stay there again. The view was great! The 25 minute switchback one lane narrow road falling apart in places was terrible and very dangerous. First morning the neighbor blew leaves for over 1.5 hours. So much for peace and quiet cup of coffee on the porch. The next day there was loud construction at the same house. We left for the day. The cabin needed a very deep cleaning. Old, dusty, shabby and worn with a few new upgrades. Smelled so stuffy, we had to air it out for two days. The floor vent in the kitchen and first floor bath air vent were covered in dirt and mold. No wood was provided for this unit as promised except for one old soaked rotten piece was left in the fire pit, no dishwasher either as stated. Feel this unit was misrepresented. Indoor flooring, Outdoor deck and screened in porch floors are in disrepair looked old needed to be refinished and stained. Hot tub was only able to reach 100 one day. Otherwise just barely warm not even close to being hot. Hot tub cover was torn old and needed to be replaced. Was our first trip to Blue Ridge. We have always loved VRBO units we have rented and this property did not meet our expectations. This is the first negative rating we have ever written. The property management company listened and offered to clean the cabin. We declined and left the next day. Provided them with photos to substantiate our experience.
