”This charming B&B in Grand Haven was clean and spacious in a lovely residential area surrounded by other old homes of the period. The renovations and updates done to it were incredible and belong in a magazine. It was nice to sit on the front porch and read early in the morning or chat with other guests. ”I will be frank. People told us not to stay here. We scouted the area and contrary to what we heard, people were very nice. Is it in the area with the best reputation? No. But we stayed for two nights and had no complaints. The room was good. Nothing fancy but good. If you are on a budget, consider it. If you want to pay three times the price, go to those places. But I would stay here again”

”We had to leave and stay at a different hotel due to the unsanitary conditions at Whitehall Cottages.
The bed had dirt and hair on the sheets and all around the mattress.
There’s no staff on the property and the owner didn’t respond back until later in the evening after we were already checked in to a different hotel.
When I asked for a refund I was told he couldn’t do it because we booked through Expedia…”
