Vuodepaikkoja 10 (4Q, 2T) Tämä 3200 neliön jalka yksinäinen, ylellinen hirsitalo on upea ja täydellinen seuraavalle lomalle lomalle. Tämän yksikön vieraat nauttivat raikkaasta vuoristoilmasta ja mahtavista näkymistä 1800 neliömetrin kannelta ja kuistilta. Keittiötilasta on turvatarkastus kuistilla ja siellä on myös ”ruokailutila” käsintehtyillä hickory-huonekaluilla ja kaasugrilli. Tämä hirsitalo oli sisustettu ammattimaisesti, joten jokainen huone on sisustettu mukavasti ja kauniisti. Siellä on neljä makuuhuonetta ja kolme ja puoli kylpyhuonetta, joiden avulla on helppo nukkua jopa kymmenen ihmistä queen-vuoteilla ja televisioilla jokaisessa makuuhuoneessa sekä erillinen vyöryvuode yhdessä yläkerran makuuhuoneessa. Alakerran makuuhuone on varustettu sviitillä, jossa on olohuone ja kaasulokkitakka. Joten voit tuoda laajennetun perheen tai ystäväsi! Tässä makuuhuoneessa on myös TV, DVD-soitin ja videonauhuri. Päätason makuuhuoneessa on TV, DVD-soitin ja poreallas isossa kylpyhuoneessa. Olohuone on kutsuva ja sisustettu upeasti kaasulokilla ja takalla, TV: llä, DVD-soittimella ja stereolla. Suuri mittakaavassa keittiö on tilava ja täysin varustettu kahdella erillisellä uunilla ja kalliilla keittolaitteilla, mukaan lukien Kitchen Aid -jalustinsekoitin, Jen Air-liesi ja kaikki muu, jota vieraat saattavat tarvita valmistaakseen täydellisen aterian. Tämän kolmikerroksisen talon yläkerrassa on kaksi makuuhuonetta ja yksi kylpyhuone. Girls trip

Property was beautiful and very nice. There were several lamps and quite a few of them had burned out lightbulbs. Some of the overhead lights as well. There was only one remote that worked out of all of the tv’s. No batteries in the remotes. We followed the instructions for lighting the gas logs and could not get them to turn on. Nothing major but making sure these are addressed for the next person.

Great get away stay

Lots of room for 4 couples. Beautiful views at the house and on the drive to it. Easy commute to Boone, Blowing Rock and hiking trails.. A couple minor issues with shower knobs.

Gorgeous home

This is a beautiful, comfortable home. We enjoyed it so much. The location was perfect for visiting the area. You do need the four wheel drive for the driveway which is steep. We would love to come back when we can enjoy the beautiful porches! It was a little cold for that this trip. But the skiing was great!

Beautiful views & comfy space

Sticks & Stones is a beautiful, roomy and comfortable home with everything you could possibly need to cook, play games or just relax. The spacious living area is well decorated and the dining table accommodates a large group with ease. We prepared our Thanksgiving meal and had everything we needed. The beds are so comfortable which was an added bonus! The folks at Foscoe Rentals are awesome to work with if any issues arise. Some things to note: if you are staying in the winter, the driveway is steep and could easily become problematic in bad weather. The basement area has a bedroom and living area that doesn’t stay very warm due to the thermostat being on the main floor. We opted not to use that space as temps dropped into the 20’s while we were there. There is no satellite TV as the ad states so be aware. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to large families or groups!

Good Home

We had a great time at Sticks and Stones! Other reviews mentioned the steepness of the driveway, which had us concerned. These reviews were accurate, however we all managed to make it up and down the driveway, even after some snow (vehicles were F250, CRV, RAV4, and Ranger). The roads to the home are full of curves, yes, but to be expected in the mountains. We had the unfortunate luck of the internet being down, and the location has 0 cellular service unless you stand in the driveway. It made for a great time of card games and chats! We lost power for about 5 hours during our stay, and my only qualm was that I did not receive a message back when I made mention of the loss of power. I know it is no fault of the property manager, but at the time we were concerned about the inability to shower, cook, or have heat. The home is well equipped with kitchen items, and the bathrooms were clean and well stocked with towels. The home could use a light dusting and vacuuming, but it was nothing to the extent of being “gross”. If you have young children, please be aware that the access to the unfinished attic space is unlocked and easily accessible. We would recommend this property, especially for a group.

Sibling Reunion Plus a Wedding

My three sisters and their spouses and I spent a week at Sticks and Stones with a wedding on the Saturday in the middle of that time. The house met our needs well, and we enjoyed our time together. We had four vehicles and were able to park 3 of them up by the house and one in a pullout halfway up. The driveway was indeed very steep and necessitated the use of the lowest gear to get up without slipping on wet leaves (none of the vehicles were 4-wheel drive, and it had been raining). The kitchen was well-stocked. The house was secluded, which we liked, but was only 12-15 minutes drive into Boone or Blowing Rock. Beautiful area. Wi-fi was spotty for some of our phones. Overall we had a wonderful time together.

Great stay

Really enjoyed the house and the furnishings. Had everything we needed and then some. Stayed with our children ages 14 - 22. Everyone had a great time and loved the house. Will rent again when in the area.

Mother's 1st mountain trip at age 70

The home was beautuful and we had everything we needed right there. It was very spacious and clean. Beautiful scenery and saw a lot if wildlife. She was sad she didnt get to see any bears but she really enjoyed herself.

Wonderful Property

House was beautiful with plenty of room for our family. Well equipped kitchen, beautiful decks to enjoy the perfect weather. Great location not far from The Game Keeper where we had an amazing dinner. Short drive into blowing rock and great hiking. Loved our stay! Thank you!

Very nice mountain home

Cute Cabin!

Our group was a total of 8 people and this cabin fit us very well! Overall, we enjoyed our stay but we did have a couple of issues. The sink backed up our first morning there, which kept us from being able to wash dishes for 8 people. The dishwasher also leaked water because the sink was backed up. After calling the property manager, maintenance did come out to fix it but not until late that evening. Another issue was that the propane tank for the grill was completely empty when we went to grill our dinner. Even though we had some issues, we overall really enjoyed the house. The 8 of us do a yearly trip to Boone so we will keep this cabin in mind when we book for 2024.

A peaceful stay in the woods

A wonderful stay surrounded by nature. We had a large Buck roaming the grounds followed by a few white tails- the weather was frosty and cold with beautiful fireplaces! The kitchen was very well stocked. We didn't get to use the firepit outside due to the rain but we had a blast catching up with our friends. We can't wait to come back!

Wonderful Stay

We had 2 families stay at Stick & Stones and we loved the property! Plenty of room for everyone. It was close to the ski mountain and Blowing Rock. The house had everything we needed for cooking. The only 2 minor things in the kitchen was that the fridge water dispenser was broken, and there were no oven mitts. Not a big deal. I will say there were LOTS of stink bugs upstairs. I know others have noted that, as well. It must be difficult to remove them. But other that that, we LOVED the property and would definitely stay there again!

My family and I had a wonderful time at sticks and stones. We were privileged to stay during the snowstorm of 2023 We were snowed in but had lots of fun riding the sled down the steep very steep driveway.

Excellent rental! Great home for family(families)

The home is beautiful and well stocked and every detail thought out (baby gates on site that we didn’t even think about with the stairs). Easy to get to and close to local town and attractions. We really enjoyed our time here as a family. Location would work great for multiple generations or families sharing the properties as the lower level has it’s own living room. Management company easy to work with and responsive. The grill was out of propane when we arrived and someone brought us a new one that day. Only thing worth noting is only one burner on stove works very well. Only mentioning so you can ask about it after this post or plan accordingly if it has not been replaced.

Great Holiday Weekend

Great house. Everything was as advertised. Very clean and well stocked with essentials. Driveway is crazy steep but without snow it was not an issue. I would prefer to check-in remotely without having to pick up and return keys but the rental office was only a few miles away from the house so not a big deal. We would stay at this property again in the future.
