Just the Getaway We Needed
We had a fantastic 3-day stay! This cozy cabin is clean, with all the basics you need, including a charcoal grill. It's nestled into the quiet countryside yet conveniently close to town. The rooms and furnishings are laid out well in the small space, so as to keep an open feel without being too minimalistic. The hot tub and other facilities/utilities worked great. Anyone complaining about the stairs to the bedrooms clearly didn't pay attention to the description or reviews - while steep, they are totally manageable and aptly described for potential guests who might require a place with different accommodations instead. The pond is really right out the back door, and so peaceful; there are even a few seats placed around it, as well as a picnic table which comes in handy for fishing and other supplies. In this part of Boone, beware of 3-way stops, and a stretch of Bamboo Road that turns to dirt with giant potholes. Great hiking trails within just a couple miles of the cabin, too. The hosts were kind and quick to answer any queries we had.

Excellent Cabin
My wife and I loved the place and had a wonderful time at the cabin. The place was very clean, very well kept and we loved the updated Cabin style design. Property is conveniently located to areas of interest and downtown Boone. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Getaway
We loved this adorable cabin and the location! Easy drive to the property and not far from the main roads. The stairs are a non-issue if you have no physical limitations. Just be sure to duck at the first couple stairs on your way up if you are over 6 feet tall.☺️ The cabin heaters worked perfectly and the hot tub was an absolute treat. Make sure you turn up the temp as soon as you arrive so the water has time to heat up. The pond is picturesque and there is a brisk little climb up a small hill to a cute gazebo with nice views. The owner is very responsive and flexible and nearby, if needed. Highly recommend Claty Bell Cabin. We will be back!

Exactly what we were hoping for!
The cabin was exactly as described to us. We were celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary and hoping for a beautiful autumn experience. We are thrilled it was what we were expecting. Cabin was so nice, comfortable and beautiful. We enjoyed our time there. Will definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to get away, enjoy the scenery and have a comfortable home base to enjoy. Beautiful and private location. The house is very well taken care of and offers everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The bed is comfortable and we left well rested and rejuvenated. I definitely recommend this property. We will be booking again!

Pros.. clean, everything you need, lovely pond and creek Cons... stairs are VERY steep as stated .. and no air-conditioning on the bottom floor, which should be very plainly stated ..

Nice Cabin
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this cabin. This cabin is very easy to find and is so conveniently located to downtown Boone & Blowing Rock. The cabin was well stocked (linens, towels, kitchen accessories), clean & plenty of room for the two of us. Before coming, I read in other reviews a lot about the steps to the upstairs and here's my take on them. Yes, they are steep and each step is higher than a normal step, but as long as you are able bodied and of average height (I'm 5.2) they really shouldn't be a problem for you. If you have some physical limitations, then yes, the steps may be challenging for you. The hot tub sits on the front porch so was not quite as private as we would have liked as it can be seen from the road and there is a good bit of road traffic, but the tub was clean and warm and we did enjoy it. Overall, this is a very nice cabin and very conveniently located to everything in Boone. I would certainly recommend this cabin.

Quiet, peaceful, relaxing home
We enjoyed the porch for breakfast and dinner while watching the “changing of the guards” with a bird nest by the table. The hot tub was relaxing after hiking and mountain site-seeing. Master bed was comfortable, stairs were awkward. Would have liked to have more kitchen cookware and sharp knives. Great location and time spent for our first visit to the NC mountains.
