The Saint Michel district in Bordeaux is a cornerstone of the city's history. It was first recognized as the district of artisans, before experiencing several waves of immigration, giving it a cosmopolitan and lively identity, appreciated by tourists and new residents.

Saint-Michel is partially listed by UNESCO. It is good to stroll in the cobbled streets of the district, especially around the Saint-Michel basilica and its famous spire, and in the middle of its famous flea market.
