”My stay was amazing and I will definitely be staying at Ginkgo House if I ever find myself in Cambridge again! Staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, my room was very clean, and the potential noise that was mentioned was very minimal and did not cause any issues!”

”Location was good, near by subway and commuter rail stops. Friendly staff and clean rooms.”

”Room was spacious and well maintained, staff was always helpful, doing laundry is available, there is a Market Basket store nearby (and a pharmacy across the street), and it is a 10 minutes walk to a restaurant sqare.”

”I stayed at this hotel while attending a conference at Harvard University. It was only about an 8-minute walk to Harvard, which made the location incredibly convenient. Being situated right in Harvard Square was a huge plus—it’s such a lively and charming area. What impressed me the most was the restaurant on the second floor. The food was absolutely outstanding. The ingredients were extremely fresh, and the dishes elevated their natural flavors beautifully. I was expecting a typical hotel...

”The room cooling did not work and it was hot. I think it was the time of season and an old building where they have to switch it over. I was disappointed that there was an event at the restaurant and my daughter who was undergoing treatment and I could not eat there. The staff was very apologetic and friendly. ”

”The first night, we turned off the motion sensor light switch, but it kept turning back on by itself. Every time we moved in the bed, the light came on, so we had to keep getting up to turn it off. My husband and I couldn’t sleep at all. The second night, the shower water kept getting cold, so I couldn’t even finish washing my hair. Overall, the stay was quite uncomfortable because of these problems. However, the staff were very nice and made an effort to address the issues.”

”The hotel is small, homey and quiet. Centrally located near Harvard Square. Excellent service and good breakfast. Suitable for business trips.”

”The hotel is clean and has a nice design. The shuttle service e.g. to Harvard square is handy although it does not return between 3.40-6.40 pm. Breakfast is great for American standards. Extra bed in three person room was surprisingly good. Biggest problem is the bar in the middle of atrium. If your room in by that atrium hole (ours was in 11th floor), you will hear A LOT of noice.”

”I had a great stay, with the concerieve Tommy’s help I felt so accommodated. If I didn’t have to leave the next day I would’ve booked the whole weekend.”

”The breakfast was fantastic. By far the best included breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. My only wish would be to have a restaurant onsite or adjacent to the property. ”

”This is a very nice hotel. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Quiet area but also in walking distance of a main road with lots of shops and restaurants. Only complaint is the fridge door would no open without taking the cabinet door off. ”

”The room and bathroom were clean, comfortable and reasonably spacious. Our room overlooked a road and a park on the river. The staff was courteous and helpful. It was a unique hotel having game room in the lobby and original(?) artwork throughout. The breakfast was good, if perhaps a bit carb-heavy. We enjoyed our stay and would consider returning if we ever need to go to Boston again. It was not in the center of town so we did need to drive a bit.”
