”Really comfy bed and room which was immaculate including a little note from housekeeping saying enjoy your stay! A lovely touch! Breakfast and my evening meal were absolutely delicious . All staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention to the chef (with the jack russell puppy) who made the most amazing breakfast! The shower was powerful and the toiletries provided were of great quality.”

”I stayed in the Hayloft. My hosts could not have been more charming. The Hayloft was beautifully furnished and much care had gone into it. The one thing that I think let it down was the quality of the beds - 4 singles - the mattress lacked support and you could actually feel the springs in it. I think a mattress upgrade would match the high quality bedding that is provided. The only other thing was that the fridge was switched off and open when I arrived. Maybe this is the way it is done in...

The grounds are well maintained and the highlight is the walled garden with a large variety of fruit trees and a maze that puzzled us for a while! Our dinner was prepared with care and attention and the food was very tasty. A 5* stay in a 5* hotel..”

”A very well presented and convenient hotel for Hay on Wye and the surrounding areas. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room itself was comfortable and finished to a high standard. Would be perfect for couples or solo travellers wanting to explore the local area. Will definitely be back.”
