How to make your hotel guests unhappy:
1) When they check in, make them stand there filling out useless papers.
I previously booked the room on Expedia. But when I checked in, they handed me a little card and told me to fill it out with name, address, phone, etc. Why? All of that information is ALREADY filled out in Expedia. This isn't the 1980s any more!
2) Phone the guests' room in the morning, just to see if they're in there.
When I woke up and answered the phone, they didn't say anything at all. Guess they just felt like giving us an unwanted wake-up call. Three hours before checkout time. Here's a tip: If your guests haven't checked out yet, and it's not checkout time yet, then YES, they are still in their room!
