”Viihtyisä hotelli eloisassa pienessä kylässä. Hotellin yhteydessä oleva pubi oli mahtava. Palvelu ystävällistä ja aamiainen oli hyvä. Huone oli siisti mutta pesihuoneessa tuoksui paljon puhdistusaine. Hotellin oma parkkipaikka oli loistava”

”Nice clean rooms. Comfy beds. The toilets are communal but there’s lots of them so we never waited for them. It actually speeded us all up getting ready as we had a toilet each in the morning. Free supplies for breakfast and a fully functioning kitchen. Big car park too. The only negative was the check in process. You collect keys from the bar and there was a party on so we had to wait half an hour for someone to come with the keys ”

They contacted me proactively the same day to help me with my check-in and (very) late arrival details plus inquire about any breakfast needs (I had none). They were very helpful, very flexible on the phone with my strange arrangement and I was happy to spend a restful night in this establishment. My room was compact and equipped with everything needed. ”Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wildes Restaurant was very enjoyable for breakfast and dinner. Just a couple of criticism, the breakfast order of eggs benedict was served on toasted sour dough which was very difficult to cut through and chew and spoiled the enjoyment of it. I believe that traditional English muffins are a better choice to serve eggs benedict on. Although the rack of lamb was beautifully cooked it still required a steak knife to cut it , but this was not provided. ...

”Staff were excellent, had an issue with room heating, health with it quickly and efficiently, no issues. I think it's equally important to rate a hotel not just on how well it runs but also how it handles any issues should they crop up. Would be happy to return on my next visit. ”

”4 night stay. Breakfast staff quite unnatentive. Appear to prioritise coach tour parties to the detriment of independent guests. We stayed here around 4 years ago and it was noticeably better then. Breakfast items and crockery not topped up or replenished.”

The front desk is exceptionally helpful in responding to questions, looking up information online, and attending to guests' needs. ”We had a beautiful waterview room. The room was beautiful. I only wish we had more time! The falcon walk with Collin and Mary was more than we hoped for. It is as the book says "one of the thousand things to do before you die". The afternoon tea was delightful. We also had dinner in the Dungeon Room. The front desk did all our reservations before we arrived. We are looking forward to a return trip!”
