”Wonderful stay! We enjoyed walking our dog by the river and on the well maintained grounds. We also enjoyed the beautiful view of the river from the balcony each morning with coffee. The Laurel cabin was cozy with everything needed to feel like home away from home. ”

”If you’re looking for seclusion but still be close to civilization, this was it. I was by myself taking a few days away from the family for a reset and it was fabulous. Very little traffic noise, actually there was hardly any. And there were fireflies at night. It was great”

”Great, short stay at Mike's place. Cabin was cozy and had great amenities. Host communication was prompt and efficient. Would highly recommend.Two downsides:#1 - we couldn't stay longer!#2 - dogs across the street are kind of noisy...but that's not on Mike, just the nature of dogs.”

”Perfect place for my sister and I to stay while attending the MLB Speedway Classic at Bristol Motor Speedway. The owners are very attentive and responsive, and the cabin had everything we needed. I loved the pigs and goats!! Would absolutely recommend, and would stay here again in a heartbeat if I’m ever back in Bristol! ”

”The cottage was peaceful and a perfect place to send my parents to relax. The check in process was a bit odd, the cottages are not clearly marked, they had to guess which cabin was theirs and try their code. Otherwise, this place was perfect. Cozy, clean, and the hosts were quick in response and great hosts! ”

”We had an amazing stay! When we walked in, the house was spotless and so inviting, with thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. Our host was the definition of hospitality, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We loved hiking The Channels and attending the MLB Speedway Classic, even though the game got rained out the first time. A special thanks for the delicious chocolate cake and the thoughtful Bristol Motor Speedway bag. We can’t wait to come back!”

”Everything was seamless from check in to check out. The owners are wonderful, even calling me a couple days before to let me know about an HVAC issue and our options surrounding that. The cabin was very clean and updated and had everything we needed and more. All of the furniture was comfortable and well maintained. Our favorite thing to do during our stay was sit on the deck to enjoy the beautiful view and watch the thunderstorms. We will definitely be returning ”

”First I’ll address the driveway.It’s steep, just as described in the description as well as comments. Our 4WD vehicle went up just fine but our other vehicle did not. It stayed safely parked at the bottom of the driveway. ”Great place to get away to private surroundings. VRBO photos were accurate. Cabin was very clean. House well stocked. We did day trips to Blowing Rock, Valley Cruises, Banner Elk, and Grandfather Mountain, and swam in the swimming hole with waterfall that was a short drive from cabin that we found by asking a local resident for directions. We had a great getaway.”

”Great place. Great view. Great communication and guests on the first evening.....a Mama bear and her 2 cubs.Too bad we weren't ready with our cameras when they strolled across the yard. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home. For future guests, the instructions say not to leave food in your car. That's a good rule and I'm glad our car was already unloaded.”

”The cabin is well maintained and very pleasant place to stay. Be sure to read the Host's manual, although he regularly checks in on VRBO to see how you are doing. Be sure to bring a vehicle that can handle the road leading up to the cabin. Although there is a wide spot where you can park and walk a bit. Very easy.Great place to stay; I highly recommend checking it out.”

”One of the best places I've stayed with my family, hands down! My kids spent most of the day catching crawfish and lizards in the creek. We got close with one of the neighbors and it made the trip a million times better. Not only did i feel at home with my kids (hard for me), but i made lifelong memories with my family. The host is great and will help with everything they can”
