”Very walkable spot for downtown and the harbor area. Todd was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was accommodated and everything was running smoothly! He is outstanding and could not be more helpful and welcoming!
Made to order breakfast was delicious. Happy hour drinks and snacks were great.
Only downside was our bathroom/shower situation was very tiny and tight and lots of street noise at night. However, if we could get a different room we would absolutely stay here...

”We really enjoyed the large comfortable spa room. The hospitality coming and going was spot on! Walking distance to everything to do in South Haven, including the beaches! The housemade breakfast was so relaxing and tasty. We will definitely look to stay there again when we return. ”

”Perfect location, close to everything. Clean and spacious room. Friendly staff. I was worried it might be noisy because of the location but it was quiet. Nice to have the small kitchen and living room space you won’t usually get in a hotel room. The parking was a little sparse but we made it work. ”

”Historical, our first BnB. Easy to find. Easy to park. Shopping and food and lake nearby. We went kayaking nearby. Ate and fantastic places. Easy to maneuver. Love the big tub and fireplace. Overall nice area and stay. ”
”The amenities were adequate, breakfast was ample, readily available, with a very good selection (Waffles, cold cereals, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, yogurt, coffee, orange juice, fresh fruits, and more. The bed was comfortable, lighting was sufficient, and temperature controls worked as needed. There were other amenities which we did not need or use, such as a laundry area, vending machines, pool, and lounging area near lobby. Adding benches or chairs outside entrances/exits would be nice...

The view of the lake was amazing the swimming area was closed off the entire time we were there unfortunately. The only thing that is weird is the parking lot is very small and if alot of cars are there you may get stuck depending on where you park ”
”What a wonderful stay we had at the beautiful Black River Inn Bed and Breakfast. The owners provided above and beyond great service, were very kind, GREAT FOOD, wonderful hospitality, and great conversation on our 3 night stay. Such a beautiful, peaceful area to spend a relaxing time, yet close enough to many activities we had a great time doing. Thank you so much! We look forward to our next stay with you.”
”Perfect hotel for me, my partner, and dog! Other hotels and airbnbs in the area were extra expensive and/or not pet-friendly due to LDW, and we didn’t want to spend $1,000+ for just a 3-night stay.
If you’re looking for a hotel that’s affordable, perfectly located, has a lot of outdoor activities, very dog friendly, and a midwest/vintage charm, Sun & Sand is a great choice. While the rooms are a bit outdated, they were clean and well-kept. The bathroom was especially clean.
