  • This lovely house in Rayburn Country, Brookeland offers a serene and spacious retreat, ideal for families seeking a tranquil vacation spot. It's proximity to the golf course, Lake Same Rayburn, and various amenities ensures a well-rounded experience for all guests.

    Upon entering, you're welcomed by an inviting open concept living room and kitchen, perfect for hosting gatherings or simply relaxing. The master bedroom is generously sized and accompanied by a beautifully appointed master bathroom. Two additional bedrooms and another bathroom provide ample accommodation for guests.

    Outside, the large covered porch is a highlight, furnished with an outdoor dining table where you can enjoy peaceful mornings with coffee and scenic views of sunrise. The home is tastefully furnished throughout, ensuring both comfort and convenience. Only 5 minutes from the public boat launch and Rayburn Country golf course. 1.5 miles is the famous restaurant "The stump" and “Hamburger Depot”, Dollar General store, tackle store, gas station and a vending ice machine.

    20 minutes from Jasper (Where you can find larger stores-Walmart, Lowes, CVS), 45 minutes from Lufkin and 1 hour 15 minutes from Beaumont.

The house was nice and very clean and located in a great location. For us, the only thing the house was missing was WIFI. That would be a great addition. Also, the yard is in DESPERATE need of attention. It looks like it hasn't been mowed in years. Some of the weeds are over 8ft tall. Other than that, we have no complaints.

Home worked for our stay. Past reviews and comments along with description was good. If there was any constructive feedback I could give it would be the inside needs a good deep cleaning and needs to be restocked with extra linens. No internet but most of the DVDs were just cases and no movie inside them or the incorrect movie was inside it. The exterior needs a major cleaning and yard maintenance.

House was at a great location for my family, very clean and plenty of room. Becca was very responsive to questions and very accommodating.

Week stay

Inside of house is nice and clean, very comfortable but no WiFi. Outside needs some yard work and if you have a boat there is not enough room in driveway for parking. Luckily next door there is an open lot that worked out fine. ALOT of neighborhood cats roaming the property. Nice patio and great access to surrounding amenities.

The house is nice, but the beds were not made up the neatest which made us left wondering if linens had been washed. Finally found some extra towels and kitchen towels in the dryer. No WiFi, which was a bit inconvenient if I needed to leave with phone and my husband stayed there since a hotspot is needed for the TV. Most concerning was that 4 windows appeared to be locked, but weren’t. Would have been nicer if so many personal pictures and items weren’t in drawers, etc.. felt too much like staying in someone’s personal home and seeing things we shouldn’t have been seeing. Otherwise, it was nice and quiet and the kitchen had plenty of cookware.

Great Location and Space, But Lacking Key Amenities

The house itself is in a great location—quiet, friendly neighborhood and close to everything we needed. The size of the house was perfect for our stay, offering plenty of space to relax.However, there were some drawbacks. No WiFi meant no TV unless we used our own hotspot and streaming service, which was inconvenient. The kitchen lacked pots for cooking, making meal prep difficult.A neutral note—the house is for sale, and it felt like the owners were in the process of moving. Their personal belongings were scattered throughout, which made it feel more like staying in someone’s home while they were away rather than a dedicated rental.Overall, the stay was decent, but a few improvements could make it much better!

Great layout

Loved the location and layout of the home but didn’t realize WiFi was not available and had to hunt for the remote to the TV - would have been helpful to have instructions on how to run the TV and have fresh batteries in that remote. There was no soap in the bathroom to wash your hands but they did provide body wash, shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste. Would be helpful to identify what the light switches controlled as there were many of them and felt the place could have been cleaner (inside and out). Did appreciate the like new bath towels/wash cloths.
