What a beautiful, unique experience. We arrived nearer to noon than 3 but our room was ready. We were gifted chocolate, two welcome drinks from the bar, and a detailed walking map with a route outlined. Our receptionist had a beautiful smile and we felt perfectly welcome.
Our room was a âComfort roomâ with a view of the belfry tower. A few times we opened our window to enjoy the cool air, but majority of the time used our very effective AC. The room has a mini fridge/bar, a writing desk and enough access to charge our devices.
The bathroom is marble with a hand held sprayer and a rain shower head. Instant hot water made the shower efficient and pleasant.
The bedding was extra comfortable. I wish I could bring these sheets home with me! There were two super soft âthrowsâ in the closet, which we used throughout the stay.
We stayed three nights. During our stay we asked for extra water - they provide a bottle of still and sparkling every day, but I drink a lot of water- and extra coffee. One day I was sick and stayed in all day - they graciously left a basket of towels and supplies outside our door.
The common areas are beautiful, warm colors, rich fabrics, beautiful wood paneling and elaborate fireplaces. We now wish we had switched our schedule and spent more time here.
