”We had the most amazing time at the Clarendon Forest Retreat. We stayed in the Sanctuary house. The peace and quiet, sitting looking over the hills in the afternoon, and relaxing in the hot tub was so what we needed. Also, one of the highlights was when we were in the local corner shop, we were sharing with the lady at the cash register that we were staying at the Clarendon Forest Retreat and the gentleman behind us was the builder of the house! We highly recommend this place! ”

”The Lakeside Boathouse was perfect for our needs. It is exceptionally clean, well-decorated, with comfortable beds! There were only two of us, and although the property is listed for up to six people, it would have been quite cosy with even four people unless the weather allowed sitting outside.As stated in the description, the house is not actually on the lake, and it's worth noting that the location is very quiet and quite a distance from shops and beaches.”

The homestead is full of warmth and character, with the open kitchen/dining/lounge area, fire place and the wrap around verandah being the focal points for us. ”Sure! Here's a shorter version of the review:---A Secret Place to Slow Down lives up to its name, quiet, cozy, and beautifully set in nature. The space was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and incredibly relaxing. Close enough to Gloucester’s attractions but tucked away enough to truly unplug. The hosts were kind and attentive. A true hidden gem, we can’t wait to return!”

”Alan and Eva were so lovely and kind during the stay. They were very accommodating and helpful! My friend and I had an amazing time staying here, watching the sunsets and sitting by the campfire. Lovely place to unwind and have a weekend off in nature. We got to see the cows and the lovely views around the farm. The cosy off-grid cabin felt like a home away from home.
