”Nice area”

”Unfortunately, the room we were supposed to stay in had a water heater that was not working. However, when we arrived, they let us know, and they put is in a different room that was much larger than we had booked. They fixed the water heater our first day, and then they moved our stuff for us to the original room we were supposed to be in. ”My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary trip. We trailered or motorcycle into town and she was extremely accommodating with us needing a little extra space for our SUV, trailer, and motorcycle. I was expecting the house to be much smaller than it was but it was absolutely perfect for what we needed! We will definitely stay again if we come back to Custer!”

”This property is in a great location, away from the busy highway, great views, very clean. The beds and pillows were really comfortable and clean. The bathroom/shower was very clean. Staff was super helpful and recommended the adjacent Mexican restaurant which was excellent.”

”Despite nearby construction, my room was comfortable, quiet and well equipped. I was only there overnight but check in was quick, efficient and friendly and the cafe food was delicious and with the added bonus of a 15% discount since I was staying over. Walking distance to everything I wanted to see in town and to the Hot Springs (I went to Moccasin Springs) for which the town is aptly named and justly famous. Highly recommended!”

”I don’t know where to start, but the only thing favorable about this hotel, we’re the two queen beds which were a good quality mattress. The bathroom, shower and sink both smelled like mold and we requested that someone fix that and also the tub was filling with water during a shower. ”We traveled to this location during the night and it was incredibly hard to see the road signs leading to it. Most of the roads were dirt and some of them were washed out from rain. It is best to get here during daylight.”

”We liked the location and overall it was an older hotel needing remodeling and cleaning. The side door was filthy and the glass was never wiped. The breakfast was burnt so bad that the hotel smelled.”

”Room was clean, staff was exceptionally helpful, breakfast was good (menu rotates daily which is nice for those staying multiple days). Wonderful national parks very close by. The only issue was that the door to our room (walk directly outside to parking lot), did not line up with the frame and we could see daylight under the door. We laid a towel down along the bottom of the door at night to help keep bugs out.”

”The front staff was super nice. The location is great. My only real "complaint" is that the hotel is very dated. I know that isn't really anyones fault and doesn't reflect on the current staff. It just could really use a remodel.”

”The room was small, the bathroom SMALLER. It was a conveniently located property for what we wanted to do. It is definitely old and care-worn, but it was clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast was adequate. Parking was not so good. Very small area and difficult to maneuver if you have a larger vehicle, which we did. Overall it was good and the price good for the area.”

”This is an ideal location to visit Custer State Park, and it is not too far away from Mt Rushmore. This hotel is a great value and even has a continental breakfast. It was clean and comfortable.”

”We walked into the room they gave us, turned around and left. dark, musty... I can't think of a motel I've stayed in that offered less. Super 8 in Keystone? No. Go somewhere else. We did.”

”The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. It was in a great location. The breakfast was lame. There was packaged muffins, bread and a do-it-yourself waffle maker. No fruit or other varieties. No juice, only coffee or tea. We stayed 3 nights. There was no room service the until the second day when the trash was dumped, the towels picked up and the bed made.”
