Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their hotel and restaurant. We highly suggest staying for a few days to a longer visit based on their service, high standards, and central location. ”

”House was spotless, cosy and warm. The owner thought of little things you may forget to bring with you, condiments, cleaning stuff ect. The house location is perfect, half way between Keem beach and Achill sound where you enter on to the Island. We had such a nice time there and hope to return next summer when the weather is better. ”

”First time in Castlebar and found this hotel to be a great location to stay in before my meeting next day. Whilst i arrived after 7pm and the restaurant kitchen closed at 7pm, I rang the reception and they offered me the choice to pre order a dinner - went for Roast Beef. On arrival check-in was very swift, my room was warm and comfortable and dinner when served was delicious. Quiet room with warm shower and great bed - so superb sleep enjoyed. Breakfast was delicious with nice choices on...

”We had a nice stay here. Loved Westport. Easy to walk downtown from the location. Many great options for restaurants and pubs. Room was too hot with no way to control the heat, but were able open the windows to make it comfortable. ”

”The room was great! Much bigger than what we anticipated. A bit on the warm side but we opened the window and let it air for a bit to cool down. I think they sell themselves short on their "light bites". We had a lovely lunch in the hotel on the day of arrival. A very tasty celeriac soup and salmon sandwich. Everyone was catered for, kids and people with allergens alike. The same goes for breakfast, plenty to choose from and lovely staff. I'm sure we'll be back again. ”

”The Ashville Guesthouse is a charming property just on the outskirts of Westport. The room was spacious, clean and quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly prepared with something for every taste. The full Irish breakfast was excellent. Hilary and Oliver are exceptional hosts and make their guests feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this B&B and will book again if my travels take me back to the area.”
