Maalaistalot – Burnsville

”My wife and I stayed here for a week to volunteer at the Samaritan’s Purse rebuilding mission in the Burnsville area. The Inn was very enjoyable and is a wonderful old building. The staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and had a great shower, which we enjoyed after a long day of working on homes for families who were affected by Hurricane Helene.”

”Due to the nature of the retreat… there was no face-to-face contact w the staff but they responded promptly to text or call. Our cottage at Mitchell 2 had an excellent view of Mt Mitchell east side.”

”Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....
