Buxton Opera House is a 902 seat theatre located in The Square, Buxton, Derbyshire, England.

It hosts the annual Buxton Festival and, from 1994 to 2013, the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival as well as pantomime at Christmas, musicals and other entertainments year-round.

Hosting live performances until 1927, the theatre then was used mostly as a cinema until 1976.

In 1979, it was refurbished and reopened as a venue for live performance.

”Lovely, cosy pub hotel. Great food with a choice of menus, ranging from the tasting menu to simple (but very well done) pub fayre. We chose from the pub menu, special mention to the fish and chips, perfect! Accompanied by a good choice of drinks, with beer from the local Thornbridge brewery. ”Booked a one night stay to extend another hotel stay close by so we could do the Churnet Valley rail trip. Had a comfortable stay, everything very clean & comfortable.
