”Very welcoming and friendly staff; restaurant went out of their way to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The property is kept very clean and well staffed. If you want a break from the crowded touristy areas of Zanzibar; I highly recommend Treetop. Just be aware that off property it’s a distance to find restaurants or proper markets. But Treetop is so good for a quiet restful stay in Zanzibar. It’s also very close to Jozani Forest which is a major attraction for nature and wildlife ”

”I loved the outdoor area for made for serious chilling by the pool. The pool is nice too, not too cold water. The restaurant is good, not super but good enough and it's safe to eat here. The menu is quite varied but after 3-4 days it gets a bit boring. They do provide daily specials though. The room is simple but in good size. Shower ok. Bed is comfortable but the sheets really need to be changed for new ones. Service is good, not especially friendly or attentive but not rude either.”

”One very seldom meets so friendly and professional staff as at Serena Inn. Rooms are cosy with local flavour in furniture, seaview is great and food is delicious. All details in the building show that plenty of effort and money has been invested into restoration. The hotel has been built from the former post headquarters and a chinese doctor´s home - fotos show that the starting point was quite discouraging. The end result is far from sterile standard.”
