The hotel is in a great location, within easy walking distance of the central railway station and the promenade. The room itself was satisfactory; the bathroom was a good size, and the bed was comfortable, allowing me to sleep well.
There were, however, a couple of drawbacks. On arrival, I found a long black hair in the shower, which was disappointing, and the room did not smell particularly fresh. A strong odour of fried food carried up from the restaurant below, which lingered throughout my stay. In hindsight, I should have asked to change rooms, but as I was only staying for two nights, I chose not to deal with the disruption.
On a positive note, I appreciated the complimentary water and coffee available in the upstairs lounge area, which was a thoughtful and welcome touch.
