”Niin sanottu single-huone, johon kuitenkin oli tungettu kaksoisvuode, ei vastannut odotuksia. Huone oli pimeä. Sen yksi valaisin ei riittänyt illalla lukemiseen. Huoneeseen kuljettiin parvekkeen kautta, joka on yhteinen useamamman huoneen kanssa. Seinien läpi kuulee pienimmätkin äänet. Kylpyhuoneen liukuovi jumitti, eikä mennyt kokonaan auki eikä kiinni. Lämmintä vettä tuli suihkusta vain toisinaan. Hotellin uima-allas on paikassa, johon ei paista aurinko mihinkään aikaan päivästä (syyskuussa)....
