Wander Calistoga Valley is a high-finished contemporary designed home with stunning surrounding natural beauty. Located in the Mayacamas Mountains between the renowned Sonoma and Napa valleys, the five-bedroom retreat with a pool, outdoor kitchen, and tennis court is beautifully tailored to the site and complemented by the unifying landscape design of Terremoto/Alain Peauroi.

Experience the enchantment of this California luxury retreat, with everything you need for a perfect vacation or workation. Enjoy the best of both worlds—nestled in the heart of the Mayacamas Mountains, yet just minutes away from world-renowned destinations. The residence is a gateway to the rich culinary offerings of Sonoma and Napa, where you can explore a tapestry of flavors and experiences. Whether savoring the finest wines, indulging in spa retreats, or embarking on gastronomic adventures, Calistoga Valley provides a canvas for luxurious living and exploration. Our Concierge can also suggest a private chef to come to the home.

CELL SERVICE
There is little to no cell service on the way to Wander Calistoga Valley after Santa Rosa. We recommend taking note of the WiFi password and access code beforehand, which is available on the “Trips” tab in the Wander app. Cell network strength can vary by topology, time of day, weather, and whether you’re located inside or outside of a vehicle or house.

WILDLIFE WARNING
The Napa Valley wine country is home to coyotes, rattlesnakes, spiders, and mountain lions. To ensure the safety of children and pets, it is recommended to avoid bushes or reaching under long grass and to bring some pepper spray when going out for a hike or jog.

NOISE
We kindly ask that you refrain from hosting parties or create excessive noise during your stay, as we strive to maintain a peaceful environment for both our guests and neighbors. Quiet time at this property is between 8PM and 7AM. Failure to adhere to this, including complaints from neighbors, will result in a fine of $1,000.

POOL HEAT
There's a $250 per day fee for pool heating. Let us know before your arrival if you would like the pool heated during your stay.

PET POLICY
This home is pet-friendly and welcome to your furry friends during your stay. However, I do have some rules and a pet fee to preserve our home’s delicate luxury furniture and linens.

• Pets are strictly prohibited in beds, indoor or outdoor furniture, or spa facilities.
• Pet owners will be responsible for damage and charged through their payment on file.
• Our pet fee is $350/stay charged at check-out. The fee goes to the cleaner for the extra work required after a pet stays.

NOTE: This fee does not cover damage by breaking the pet policy rules. Please note that we’ll be charging any extra damages done to the property by your pet.

Retirement Celebration

Our group had a wonderful time at this property! The layout of the house was great and the ensuite bedrooms/baths was a definite plus. Plenty to do with the pool, tennis court, large screen tv and dining/entertaining space. Peaceful setting with beautiful sunsets and star gazing. Concierge was very responsive with any questions or requests we had. There were a few hiccups. We discovered some property damage (thought we should have been informed before our arrival). We never did figure out how the kitchen filtered water system worked. A couple of suggestions for the outdoor entertaining space: pool daybeds to have shades across the tops. Available shade for the west side of the outdoor dining area - the setting sun can be intense and can limit the use of that area. All-in-all a great property and experience. We would rent this property again.

Home was perfect for our family celebration. Had everything we needed. Location peaceful and beautiful sunsets… yet close to towns and restaurants and wineries. The Wander concierge’s were always there whenever we needed them.

Not So Great

Nice house, but it is part of the Wander portfolio of rental houses. All communication is through text via the Wander app. But they don't update it enough -- so the code for the gate to the private drive was incorrect or old, and we spent 45 minutes trying to get in. Had to jump the 5' fence and ask a neighbor to give us the code. Then the house itself has a Sonos sound system throughout that was broken. The Sonos tablet had a sticky note on it saying it was broken. And no instructions in Wander app as to how to reset. So no music at pool, etc. If you are going to have a "smart house" it needs a property manager to check on everything, keep codes up to date, and reboot. Not the end of the world - everything else worked - but disappointing.
