Romantic Get-away that doesn't disappoint!

Located on the lodge side with Fiscallini Trail entrance just a few steps away from the front door. Secluded from neighbors and a great place to unwind. Balconies overlook the trees and the sunset never gets old. The house is three-stories tall and includes stairs, so be prepared to get your steps in!

Great place awesome views
We really enjoyed the stay here. I liked how it was secluded into the forest and every window had views of the trees and deers really close drive to the coastal access! The kitchen was well equipped and the house was really clean. The highway sound wasn't bad at all but I like a little noise when I sleep. Overall I'm really happy with the decision I made because I was going back and forth on hotel or house and this was a great decision. So much wildlife :)

My Feedback
The house was beautiful and well equipped but there were a few areas that put a damper on our stay. The house has 3 stories with the entrance on the top floor and the bedroom with a bathroom was on the bottom floor which was difficult to climb every day since we have arthritis in our knees. I had live our of my suitcase because there were not enough empty hangers.

great stay!
We arrived on the Friday after 4pm and departed on Monday after 10 am. We really enjoyed our stay; the house is comfy and well-equipped (with good central heating that was necessary). This house in the woods is a great, cozy family home with lots of character. It has 3 levels: one bedroom upstairs, a kitchen-sitting room with a terrace and shower room in the middle, and downstairs a small bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and another terrace overlooking the woods Lots of stairs but we loved it, except for the road. With some music to cover it, it's ok. Very quiet at night. We will certainly come back!

Fun family stay
We loved our week stay. The house was so cute and we loved where it was. Only a few things to point out. The cobwebs and spiders have over run the house. Which is to be expected it’s in a wooded area and also only used as a vaca house. But the cleaning team should wipe those out every so often. With that, there are also a lot of cameras around the outside of the house. We felt very uncomfortable going outside like we were being watched all the time, And lastly you are not informed of the hwy being right behind the house until you get the check in paperwork. They give option to cancel once you get the check in paperwork but we drove 9hrs and there was no way of finding a place that quick. So we had to just deal with the noise. But otherwise the say was great.

Great getaway!
Charming house and property nested in the trees above Highway 1 with all you need for a getaway and enjoy nature! Close to downtown Cambria but slightly out of the way! Wende was quick to respond to any question we had and we really enjoyed staying there!

We spent a long weekend here. The location is great, easy access to the coastal towns, and Cambria is a cool little town. Communication with the owner was easy and quick. We had no issues at all. We would definitely stay here again.

We will be back!
This adorable house is tucked on a hill in the forest on a dirt road. The outdoor decks off the living room and master bedroom are covered so when we arrived we were able to sit outside and watch the sun, rain and rainbow! We spent most of our time on the deck. Two things I didn't see in other reviews that are most important to me. The water pressure is amazing and the beds are soooo comfortable. The house is equipped with everything you will need to be comfortable. The instructions to operate everything were spot on. The real fun was the heated toilet seat! We are getting one. lol! We had planned to go out for my husbands birthday but decided we were too comfortable there. We ate in everyday! The kitchen is fully stocked. More than most vrbo rentals. Wende was wonderful! She answered my emails and texts right away. Sweet is an understatement. You can tell they appreciate the work her father did making his home. The outside garden area is so pretty! Our dogs loved the layered yard and stepping stones everywhere. It's totally fenced in so we didn't have to worry about other creatures. When it was time to go we had to chase one of our dogs down to the first level and carry her out. She wanted to stay as much as we did! I highly recommend this place for a get away. We loved it! Cambria is one of our favorite places to run away from the bay area to. Thank you Wende for having us!

Beautiful Home
It was a wonderful stay, the home is beautiful, well furnished, and clean. The neighborhood is quiet, and a short drive to shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.
