EPIC SANA Lisboa Hotel

"We had quite high expectations for Epic Sana and chose the hotel for our wedding anniversary stay in Lisbon. The hotel is quite lovely and we love their breakfast. However, there are a few things we do not like. 1. Our room was not cleaned properly on the day of arrival. Shower and toilet glass walls were pretty dirty. They fixed it after our complain but it is actually the first time we complained about cleanliness of the room in 5 or even 4 star hotels. 2. It is uncomfortable to use a roof top pool with lots of kids jumping, splashing and snorkling at any time of the day without their parents to watch them. There should be special family hours from 10 to 17, so couples may spend relaxing time without noise and splashes all around. 3. Spa is nice but not safe as the floor is completely wet and slippery. Also, they started cleaning in the spa 15 minutes before closing at 20:45 that is not welcoming. 4. Epic Sana was the only hotel in Portugal that has no cava/sparkling wine for breakfast. They offered us a glass of cava for insane 11€!"

"Great location, right in the heart of the city. We’ve stayed at another place from the same chain before, and I like the concept. The common areas are probably the best part of the place: there’s a rooftop pool, pool table, ping pong table, a small gym and plenty of places to sit and hang out. Everything has a stylish, youthful look, and the rooftop has good views. We also tried the food there and enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A special mention for the attention to detail: this was the first place so far where our requests made before arrival were actually noticed. We had asked for an extra blanket, and it was already waiting for us in the room. We really appreciated that! We had breakfast once. It was good and there was a decent selection, although I remember the breakfast at their other location being a little better. It was also quite busy when we were there, and finding a free table took a bit of effort. The room was clean and comfortable, though fairly simple. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and liked the relaxed atmosphere."

"perfect location to explore the city on foot or by public transportation. train station and metros near by. suits well if you are looking after not so touristic area in the city. standard rooms are a bit worn out but beds are high quality. lots of options for dining nearby."
