”My wife and our 2 working K9s stayed for 4 days during our SAR K9 workshop on the river. The room was clean and the testaments of a kitchenette was extremely nice to have. The hotel is across the street to a beach on the river, but packed from Friday to Sunday. The front desk was very helpful and their telling us up front about the thin walls was honest and they offer ear plugs however we did not need them. We stayed in a room that during the week we had no next door guest so it was quit, but...

”The property was great and beautiful. We just had ant problems the first day. Also, the communication about bringing ice for an outdoor cooler could be posted to help us prepare better. But, overall, the spot was as advertised.”

This property was fine last year but we tried to rent the other side of the duplex this year and had to cancel after arriving because one of the 2 bedrooms had the entire floor removed. There was a pile of moldy rotten wood and trash bags next to the front door upon arrival and active construction in one of the bedrooms. ”It’s OK for Kernville. There’s not much of a choice in the area and everything is about the same. Better than aren’t but it’s not a Hilton. No problems checking in or out.”

”we travel to the Kern River at least once a month and I’ve stated in many properties. No more. From now on whispering pines lodge will be the only location where we stay in Kernville. It was beyond our expectations, everything about it felt like home.”

”Very rustic and quaint. I’m a fisherman so this place works great for me as it’s next to the water. Clean room and great staff. John, the owner, is a good guy! My wife and I along with other friends had a very nice time here as it’s walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops.”

”The location was perfect, close to the lake and trails. The home was beautiful. Backyard fenced but had tons of poop. The kitchen had enough plates and silverware for the 3 of us but we had to go buy trash bags, tissue and paper towels for our four night stay. BBQ not set up for use.The cleaners apparently decided not to fully dry the bathroom towels and still hung them and folded them for us to use. Some damp but the majority were full on wet, they would have felt they were wet and chose to...
