Step into a slower pace of life at Braemar House, a beautifully restored colonial guesthouse nestled in the heart of the charming village of Candelo.

Positioned in one of the village’s character-filled buildings, this inviting retreat blends historic charm with relaxed modern comfort—creating a stay that feels both nostalgic and effortlessly easy.

Inside, the home welcomes up to four guests across two serene queen bedrooms, complemented by a light-filled bathroom with integrated laundry. Warm, thoughtfully styled living spaces reflect the home’s rich past while offering all the comforts needed for a relaxed and memorable stay.

But it’s the wide, covered verandah that truly captures the essence of Braemar House. Open the French doors and let the day unfold—slow mornings with coffee in hand, quiet afternoons soaking in the village atmosphere, and golden evenings best enjoyed with a glass of wine as Candelo gently winds down around you.

From your doorstep, everything is within easy reach. Wander to the local café for your morning brew, browse the general store, or settle in at the pub for a long lunch. If your stay aligns, the beloved Candelo Markets offer a vibrant glimpse into the region’s creative and community spirit.

Braemar House is fifty meters from the Candelo General Store and Cafe, within walking distance of the Candelo Service Station, the School of Arts Town Hall and the Candelo Hotel. It also has easy access to the Candelo Swimming Pool and Candelo Tennis Courts. And don't forget the monthly Candelo Market held across the road on the first Sunday of each Month!

Other things to note
Our property has complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, dishwashing liquid, and toilet paper. Any other pantry items left by the owners you are very welcome to use.

The items are not restocked during the booking, however the ‘Candelo General Store is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am - 6:00pm and Weekends from 8:30am - 3:00pm.

Candelo Cafe is open 7 days a week

Larger supermarkets are in Bega (Coles and Woollies), Merimbula and Tura (Woollies and Aldi in Merimbula).

Well- known for its community energy, Candelo also hosts the Candelo Village Festival (every second year) and other Candelo Arts Society events and the Annual Candelo Agricultural, Horticultural and Dairy Show (January).
