  • Welcome yourself to our Cozy Blue Door Cottage located in the heart of Canyon Lake, TX! If you're planning a weekend getaway with some friends or family, this cottage has everything you need to relax in complete comfort. The central location is close to local restaurants, hill country activities, and the beautiful Canyon Lake. There is an upstairs gameroom and very spacious outdoor setup with plenty of room for boat parking. Take a look inside and let your Canyon Lake vacation begin!

    - NO DISHWASHER dishes must be hand washed

    This is an entire home rental. You will have access to the entire home and it is your own private rental for the duration of your stay.

    - We have a ring doorbell camera overlooking the front of the cottage for the safety and security of both our home and guests. However, we value your privacy and only reference it if an issue arises.

Our family absolutely love this home. Was very clean and comfortable and a great way to spend family time upstairs in the game room together with so many options of games and we brought our own! The deer were amazing to visit and feed. So close to Canyon Lake ( bring your boat!! ) and Wimberely and the scenery is gorgeous. You’ll miss it before you even leave. Easy check in. The owner answers questions promptly and are very nice. If you’re reading reviews to be sure it’s a good choice like we did,,, can confirm, you will LOVE IT!

Amazing cottage

Had such a wonderful visit. Austin is an amazing host. Great communications and provided a lot of details for our check in and stay. Very accurate and clean listing. Had so much fun with our family visiting this place. Would recommend for your next trip to the area.

Amazing place!!

We stayed here for our daughter’s 3rd birthday and she had a blast! The house is just as pictured and had all the activities to keep her entertained. Feeding “Santa’s Reindeer” was her favorite part. We will most definitely be staying here again!

Jan 2024 weekend stay

Very clean and comfortable.Quite neighborhood.Easy to get to wear ever you want to go.Game room upstairs a plus.Would recommend if you don’t want a hot tub or pool.

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our stay. The place was nice and clean. It was close to lake. House had lots of games to keep the kids engaged and entertained. The owner (Austin) was very quick to respond to our questions or requests. All in all pleasant stay.

Family Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this property. My children were entertained with all the games upstairs and my husband and I had some peaceful relaxation on the porch enjoying nature and the many deer roaming the neighborhood. We found in the kitchen everything we needed for cooking meals as well. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a place to getaway for quality family time and some rest and relaxation.

Still Daydreaming of Deer!

We had an amazing stay at this cottage, the upstairs game room kept the kids busy playing together after long days of swimming in nearby rivers. Great location with all of the attractions you could ask for within a 30 minute drive if visiting nearby cities! Also always had 3-10 deer in the backyard at all times, and several grey foxes as well (which I had never seen in person before). So cute!

The property was awesome, the home was very clean and the kids loved the game room. The property owners were very nice and communicated well. The neighborhood was very quiet, with deer everywhere! Would highly recommend Blue Door Cottage for a nice getaway!

Fabulous vacation spot

We loved the coziness of this cute cottage. It was equipped with everything you may need if staying longer than a few days. Feeding the deer and enjoying a campfire was so much fun!! We will definitely be back!!!

Great house!

This was a perfect house for our family! My kids loved playing all the games, especially the arcade games. We also loved feeding the deer every morning and evening. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. Very peaceful and quiet. It was a perfect little getaway for a few days. My kids are already begging to go back.

Great location!

We took a mini vacation in June 2024. The house is super cute! Lots of deers come visit daily. We visited Canyon lake, Guadalupe river swam, fish and hiking we had an awesome time! The host was very good at responding when I had any questions, very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place!

Cozy blue door was amazing!

This property is top notch. Proximity to the lake is great. Property has everything you need to have an amazing get away, with or without children. My boys 19 & 10 enjoyed the gameroom and arcade setup. The deer coming up to feed was incredible, corn was provided which was a nice extra touch. Highly recommend!

Quick weekend getaway

The property was very clean and Austin was a very attentive and responsive host. Coffee with creamer and sugar is a must and they had plenty to pick from. Clean and comfortable linens. The deer coming so close to the house was an added bonus. If ever back in the area, wouldn’t hesitate to book this cottage again.

Hill Country Trip

We loved this cottage. Check in was super easy and everything was as indicated online. When the deer corn bucket had been knocked over by animals over night, the owner was prompt in providing a solution so we could enjoy feeding the deer the very next day. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking pots, pans, and utensils. We enjoyed the front porch, walking down the street, wildlife, and all the indoor games - shuffleboard, foosball, board games and video games. A very nice place for our family.

The Perfect Getaway

Austin is an amazing host who definitely understands what he’s doing and how to check-in and treat a guest! We had an amazing stay and we were in communication as needed. As for the home, it’s in the perfect location and has all the amenities we needed. The host really thought of everything when it comes to hosting people at his home. We will definitely be coming back and this home is worth a lot more than what we paid for per night. Thanks Austin!

Christmas in the Cottage

Our family of 3 decided to have a last minute getaway for Christmas. This cottage was perfect. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The game room was fun, great for family time and we loved the book nook with the bean bag chairs. The location was convenient to the lake, Wimberley, and San Marcos for hiking and dinning and other activities. Tithe added bonus was the deer feed. The deer came from everywhere once you threw the feed out.

Great Stay w our boys & dog

Such a cute little house! All was perfect for our stay! We had 2 boys 9 & 13 and they loved the upstairs game room! BEST part was the deer corn they left us to feed the deer all day long!! We brought our dog too & he enjoyed being at the house. Great spot & nice driving distance to Cypress Falls Swimming Hole, hiking at Canyon Lake Gorge & Overlook, Gruene Hall and Natural Bridge Cavern Will recommend to other friends. Thank you! Canyon Lake Trip

We chose this house to stay in when we took our boys to the lake. The game room was the big selling point for us! No shortage of fun there! The size of the house was perfect for the 4 of us. The house is very clean and cozy. It’s in a neighborhood, but it felt private. We had a lot of deer come up to the front porch and fed them corn that the owners provided. The rocking chairs on the porch were nice with morning coffee. The location was great! Since Canyon Lake rents boats with tubes and skis we may stay here again. Thank you!

This place was amazing. My kids LOVED their room. The games are perfect. My kids always had something to do while at the home. The beds were very comfortable! My favorite was in the mornings going outside to feed the deer, then sit and drink coffee and watch the view. It was so relaxing and comfortable. The owner Austin was very responsive from the very beginning of our booking till we left! Any time we needed anything, we would reach out and we would get a fast response. Very attentive. Over all it was one of the best stays I’ve had. I definitely recommend.

Hidden treasure in the Hills

The house was perfect for our stay! Very clean & comfortable.The kitchen was well equipped for making all of our meals. You get a small start on things you may need (Papertowels, toilet paper,ect). All the games are perfect for keeping you entertained inside. The open layout (balcony upstairs over looks the downstairs) makes it feel so much bigger. The real hidden gem is the fire pit outside you can sit watch (&feed with corn provided) SO many beautiful deer all day long! No lake view from house but you are a few min drive to do many wonderful places to access it. Lastly, the owner is TOP notch & quickly answered any questions or concerns i had even going above& beyond. Would Def stay here again

Loved the interaction with nature!

We stayed for a few days in mid August for my husbands birthday and we LOVED it! The home is adorable and perfect for our family of 4. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors we met were very nice. We looked forward to feeding deer and were NOT disappointed! We saw deer in yards even before we got to the house. We put corn around the yard and had a ton of furry visitors throughout all hours of the day! Deer are my daughters favorite animal so she was in heaven. We spent so much time on the porch throwing corn out and watching them eat. We took a short drive down to the lake one day so the kiddos could swim. We also sat in the back of our truck at the end of the driveway late at night to watch the meteor shower. The loft is great for the kiddos and we had fun playing games as a family. The house had everything we needed and the beds were comfy. We would definitely book again in the future. The hosts are very communicative from beginning to end! They do a great job making sure the house has anything you could need.
