Cape Charles is a great family oriented getaway! This property was great as well. The owner was very responsive. The house was super clean. We had no parking issues (as others have commented on) as we golf carted our entire stay. The only negative was the blinds in the bedrooms do not keep the outside lights out. We’ve stayed at numerous properties in Cape Charles and this one ranks near the top. Just know going in that these are historic homes.

Spacious home close to shops. Multiple living spaces and huge kitchen are a big plus. Parking for two cars right in front of the home was easy and convenient. Excellent and quick communication with host. Would love to stay here on our next trip!

Cute bay house!

We really enjoyed our stay at Belle of the bay! The only thing we had any problem with was parking. We had several times where people parked in front of our house and left us without parking. We had 9 people and there was plenty of room for everyone! We would definitely recommend this place!

Great location and comfortable house!

Our 6th time in Cape Charles and we still love it so much. This house is only a block in from the main street so it was super convenient for my teenagers who love walking around downtown after a long day at the beach. The beach itself is a half mile from the house, but rent a golf cart and you'll be all set. The house was clean, uncluttered (amen) and worked great for our fanily of 5. One side note: bring a hair dryer! Most of the VRBOs in which I have stayed had hair dryers so I didnt bring one and should have. My fault, but just wanted to let future renters know so you will be more prepared than me. 😀 Thanks so much, Lily! We appreciate you letting us stay at your lovely home.

Perfection!

Such an adorable house with a great location! Safe and friendly this house has all you need with the 1800's charm to go with it. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. Walk to shops or golf cart to the beach. Lily was SO responsive and helpful with anything we needed!

Belle of the Bay was an amazing property. The home was extremely clean The beds were comfy, plenty of space and well equipped kitchen. The beach chairs were so convenient. We enjoyed porch sitting, preparing meals in the spacious kitchen and dinners in the back yard. Lilly was prompt with responding to questions.

Great family home!

This was a great home for us. We had four generations and the layout was perfect. It even has a bedroom on the first floor. The beds were comfy and plenty of towels. Lily is a great host and responds almost immediately. Not close to the water but close to the park and all the shops.

Great week in Cape Charles!

We had a great time in Cape Charles. The house was clean, well stocked kitchen and the beds were comfortable. The boys loved the back yard aka "the pitch" for nightly soccer games. Thanks Lilly for being so responsive to any questions we had!

Family Vacation

This was our first time vacationing in Cape Charles and Belle of the Bay was a great place to stay, and perfect for what we needed. In total, we had 4 adults with 5 small children. You can walk to the beach and shops from the house but I'd recommend renting a golf cart, especially if you have young kids (beach is a little too far to walk to with little ones in tow, and all the stuff that comes with them). The cart made it super easy to get up and go! The amenities are nice. The beds in the home are very comfortable. We enjoyed the separate family/tv room, as that became the dedicated play room for us. The backyard was wonderful for some water fun when we needed a break from the beach. When we did go to the beach, it was very nice to have access to the owner's chairs and umbrella. The kitchen was bigger than we expected, and had everything we needed to cook at home. We enjoyed puzzling on the big kitchen island and the kitchen table was perfect for card games - We enjoyed both every night! All in all I recommend this rental! It's in a wonderful & central location and the owner has thoughtfully stocked the home and considered visitors. She was also very responsive which was much appreciated!
