”Unfortunately, the stay fell far below expectations. We were not told the hotel was undergoing renovations, which became clear on arrival. Our first room had a balcony door that wouldn’t lock, so we moved. The second room was well located but had major issues: the toilet never flushed (we were given a bucket), there was mould on the walls and curtains, the fridge was broken, and the water was often unavailable or ran brown without warning. The staff is always friendly and helpful - many have been at the resort for years, and they never fail to remember our family. Beds are comfortable, and the rustic vibe is so relaxing. We can feel our blood pressure drop every time we come through the gate!”
