”Stunning bedroom views from this lodge and exceptional service and kind attitude from Shannon ! Food was also great. It’s an older lodge that has been upgraded with excellent bathroom fixtures and main bedroom lighting. Wifi is a little slow, early morning hot water taps need to run a bit before hot water arrives and the sliding partition in our room 2 needs to be replaced with a frosted glass door as the current wooden sliding partition is a little stiff to open . Otherwise an excellent choice...

”Basic safari hotel. Institutional catering. Unfortunately, the Safari vehicles were worn out and very uncomfortable. They had not replaced the shock absorber which made the drive very uncomfortable. Convenient to Cape Town, but clearly not the right bush for giraffes which had their heads permanently bowed due to lack of any trees.”

The walks and the safari drive with the guide Tiaan were fantastic. Our cottage ( Nr.24 ) was great. The food was delicious. We hope really to come back soon. ”A very spacious loft in a complex still in development. Great location, right off main street and very close to wine tram. Note there is no TV and some apartaments are 20 m away from keyboxes so they might not be so easy to find.”

” My stay was fantastic but I was shocked by the breakfast waiters, they wiped my cup rim clean with a finger in front of me, some rubbed their faces and noses, some hocked back phlegm in a rude way, what a pity they seemed to be completely untrained in basic waiter hygiene, otherwise all great”

”Quirky hotel. Good service very clean, does not offer dinner but very good restaurants are nearby. Lots of uneven steps so not suitable for everyone. Enjoyed our stay”

”We enjoyed our stay at Thali Thali which was peaceful and quiet. The staff were especially friendly, welcoming and very responsive. Our accommodation was comfortable but some of the fixtures and fittings could probably do with refurbishment. All in all a very happy stay. ”

”Pure Bliss, this is an amazing location. The silence and nature is perfect just to get away from the hustle and bustle. The owner is also very welcoming making sure there is enough wood and making sure our stay was amazing. The Hot tub is amazing and overlooks the forest. So cosy and relaxing. Its also only 1.30min from Cape Town.”

”The property is off the beaten track and Malgas is only accessible via a gravel road but if you want somewhere to escape and enjoy lovely views this is the place to go. The Boathouse is very well equipped with a spacious shower, all required kitchen utensils and surprisingly good wifi despite the remote location. If you are tall the sloping roof may be a challenge. The view of the river is wonderful and there are free kayaks available. De Hoop is around 30km away via gravel roads and you can...
