”I travel a lot yet seldom write reviews. So there must be a good reason to do this one. I am stingy so I am looking for value when booking a place. Re. this one, the owners conveniently forgot to mention that there is a COMMON bathroom for all the bedrooms on the floor (one bathroom for seven rooms on the floor where I stayed). Since toilets are within the same space as the showers, you can imagine what problems to expect.  Had I been clearly informed about common bathroom I would have never...

”Interesting old manor. Guests can wander through the gardens and beautiful old manor rooms. There is a nice swimming pool area in the gardens. The estate produces an excellent white wine. You can preorder diner on most days but there are only 8 guest rooms so there may not be many takers. A car is needed as the estate is out of town. The staff were helpful and friendly. ”Fantastic roomy room, Well-Appointed extremely clean. And comfy. I stayed at the Indian Wells room. And we'll definitely repeat. Two highlights of the stay were Joana, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful. And Bella (the hotel Frenchie) and her owner. But to a person there was no one who was not perfectly friendly to us the whole time. Truly great experience that I will repeat”

”Beautiful property. Great (walkable) location to enjoy the city. Super breakfast. Front desk staff (Annalisa?) was exceptional! Went out of her way to help us make the absolute best use of our time. We booked this hotel specifically because it said “laundry facilities” and it was our laundry stop on a 16 day, 5 hotel stay . It should read “laundry services” as there are no facilities on site. When we asked for help,Annalisa found us a close, clean laundromat.”

”I travel a lot to the area around Guimaraes, but I found this new hotel nestled up in the hills and it is super. I'd certainly recommend. I've stayed twice and the indoor pool (and sauna/ steam room) are excellent, and the outdoor pool and view of the mountains in the distance is idyllic. Good food menu and room service (same menu, not a smaller one like in many hotels). Will certainly stay again.”

”This was a great choice for a business trip of 5 nights. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice, room was spacious and stayed very cool thanks to efficient airconditioning - which was great since the weather was very hot in July. Wireless internet connection was fast and worked well. The hotel is within nice walking distance from the city centre. I would definitely stay here again.”
