Private outdoor space with a direct view of the ramparts, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable bedroom, perfect for a couple or a family getaway. Just a short walk from the lively lanes of the old town, Le Petit Rempart is a true home base at the heart of history.



The Space:

On one level, Le Petit Rempart spreads across roughly 45 sqm with a soft, calming feel — natural furniture, uncluttered decor and boho touches throughout. From the moment you step in, the tone is set: a simple, light-filled place designed to feel like home.



The light-filled living room combines a dining area with a sofa bed that, once unfolded, offers a 140 cm-wide sleeping space — enough to complement the bedroom and sleep up to 4 guests.



The comfortable bedroom has a double bed and practical storage. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking just as you would at home, and the modern shower room includes a shower, sink and toilet.



Outside, a private space with a dining table gives you a rare setting for meals facing the ramparts. A small shared garden lounge is also available, shared with two other flats in the building.



Please note: a paid parking space is available on site (€15/night), subject to advance booking and availability.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the entire apartment, a private outdoor space with dining area, and a small shared garden lounge (shared with two other flats). Independent entrance via a secure key box.



The Neighborhood:

On Rue Barbacane, one of Carcassonne's most sought-after streets, the flat sits right at the foot of the medieval Cité's ramparts. A short walk away: the ramparts themselves, the cobbled lanes of the old town, traditional restaurants, bakeries, grocery shops and cafés, plus the banks of the Aude for a riverside stroll.



The town centre (bastide) and Place Carnot, with its market, are about a ten-minute walk away. The train station is roughly a 5-minute drive. An ideal base for exploring the city entirely on foot, with no need for a car.



Other Things to Note:

To finalise your booking, our agency will send you a secure registration form — a standard step required by French regulations for all short-term rentals. You will be asked for proof of ID at this stage, in accordance with current legal requirements.



The property is prepared and maintained by our professional team: full cleaning and household linen provided for each stay. Additional paid services are available on request after confirmation.



Le Petit Rempart is a non-smoking property with no parties allowed. Pets are welcome — please keep the place clean after them. Please take good care of the place — charges may apply in the event of any damage.
