Kauniisti remontoitu maalaismökki ja integroitu lato, Loch Mask

Reite Isletirigh, "lowlanderin" talo on kunnostettu vuonna 2017 ja 2018 (täydellinen viimeistely vuonna 2019), ja sen omistaa irlantilainen, joka asuu ja työskentelee Irlannissa.

Barn sisältää 40m2 keittiö ruokailutila, jossa kaikki modernit mukavuudet ja laitteet pelletti liesi ja portaat on 55m2 oleskelutila moderni korkean kapasiteetin puuhella. Olohuoneen vieressä on pieni wc ja makuuhuone (2 erillistä vuodetta) sekä makuuhuone ja kylpyhuone ensuite wc, bidee, märkä solu ja 2 pesuallasta.

Etsi talon pääsisäänkäynti ajamalla tai kävelemällä "barn Mayo kivi" ja "vanha mökki". Pysäköintipaikka on vain muutamalle autolle ja venevajalle.

Kun olet tullut taloon, pääset alakerrassa olevaan aulaan niin "lato" kuin "valkoisen unen talon". Jälkimmäisessä on 2 ylimääräistä makuuhuonetta (joista jokaisella on parivuode ja 4 nukkua), pesula (erillinen takaluukku) ja kylpyhuone. Kylpyhuoneessa on vapaasti seisova kylpyamme, wc ja pesuallas. Käytävän lopussa on itsenäinen asunto (valmistuu parhaillaan huhtikuussa 19).

Huoneistossa on olohuone (30m2), jossa on kaksinkertaiset ovet ulkopuolelle, pieni keittiö ja kylpyhuone (suihku, wc ja pesuallas) ja yläkerrassa videotila / makuuhuone (4. 6 'sänky). Mökki (kaksi vuodepaikkaa) voidaan vuokrata erikseen (syyskuu 19) ja se voidaan saavuttaa pyykin takaluukun kautta.

Peruskorjausten (päärakennus päättyi vuoden 2018 lopulla) ansiosta tämä ominaisuus on uusi, moderni ja lämmitetty öljyllä, pellettikiualla (keittiö) ja puuhella (olohuone). Se on tilava ja tarjoaa tilaa 8 hengelle. Pienet yksityiskohdat päättyivät vuoden 2019 lopulla).

Co. Mayo tarjoaa kauniin koskemattoman ympäristön ja tarjoaa maaginen nähtävyys vierailijoille. Mayon mahtava luonnonmaisema sijaitsee Wild Atlantic Wayn varrella. Jotkut Mayon kohokohtia ovat Great Western Greenway (pisin maastopyöräily- ja kävelyreitti Irlannissa), Croagh Patrick (Westport), josta on upeat näkymät Clew Baylle ja sen monista saarista huippukokoukselta.

Historia herättää elämää Pohjois-Mayon kuuluisimmilla Céide Fields -alueilla, joiden maine on peräisin viidestäkymmenestä vuodesta, kun taas laaja Jackie Clarke-kokoelma (yksi maailman tärkeimmistä irlantilaisten artefaktien kokoelmista) löytyy kaupungin Ballina. Westport (20 minuuttia, erittäin luonnonkaunis reitti suoraan talosta Mayon vuorten läpi) äänestettiin Irlannin paras paikka asua äskettäin ja tarjoaa runsaasti vierailijoille kokemusta, kuten Westport House ja Pirate Adventure Park, joka on suosittu perheitä. Tämä viehättävästi rakennettu kaupunki tarjoaa tyylikkäitä Georgian katuja ja vaivattomasti ystävällisiä

Great Vacation

The house is well maintained with many amenities. Its cozy interior and the big garden helped us to have a very relaxing vacation. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. We felt very welcomed. Eine Woche Städte, Natur und Meer

Thomas und Eileen waren sehr freundlich, haben uns persönlich begrüßt, alle Geräte erklärt (Sauna, Whirlpool, elektrischer Wasserhahn) und uns sogar einen Willkommenskorb mit Wein, Brot, Obst … überreicht. Die Zimmer waren groß, Betten bequem und die Bäder top. Waschmaschine, WLan, Trockner - alles war vorhanden und funktionierte einwandfrei. Auch die große Wohnküche ließ keine Wünsche offen. Thomas schickte uns auch Tipps für Ausflüge - Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und Ausfüge zum Strand nach Louisburgh (Surfen), Westport, Galway, Aran Inseln, Killary Fjord, Connemara Nationalpark und auf den Croagh Patrick unternommen - mit dem Auto ist alles in 1h bis 1,5 h erreichbar.Da ich Allergiker gibt es einen kleinen Punkt Abzug für die Hausbeschreibung in der Anzeige. Thomas und Eileen bewohnen das Haus zeitweise mit ihrer Katze.

A touch of heaven on earth...with sheep!

We've stayed in a lot of properties and this is my new favorite. We brought 3 of our adult kids and 1 daughter in law and there was plenty of space and separation so they didn't keep us up if/when they stayed up later than us. It was old world charm with modern conveniences, and central to so many wonderful sites in Mayo. We went to Cong, Galway, Westport, Knock, Ballintubber, Ballinrobe, and up to Ballina & the incredible Downpatric Head Dun Briste sea stack & cliffs (1 hr & 1/2 scenic drive.) The Tourmakaedy waterfall & church ruins were close by & worth a 2nd visit. We had the time of our lives & felt like guests in a relative's home. Thomas & Eileen, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. Your hospitality was top notch. Our bed was very comfortable & my hubby is very picky & showers were hot & had great pressure. I miss seeing the sheep out the windows every morning & the 2 bucks that greeted me from the other side of the kitchen door 1 morning.

A wonderful, relaxed family time in a spacious home in beautiful surroundings

We were hoping for some relaxed family time together with something for everyone in our mixed-age family group. We definitely chose the right place. Our ages ranged from just 2 to 75 years, so quite a challenge! Thomas and Eileen’s home in Mayo worked perfectly! The house and outdoor facilities were spacious and comfortable; the kitchen was excellent….well-equipped with room for family meals and cooking together. One day we cooked for nine as some family members staying locally visited us. We were all able to find some quiet areas when peace and calm were needed too. The house was warm and had a variety of heating systems, which in September was occasionally required in the evening. Thomas responded immediately to any enquiries or questions that we had. He and Eileen called around and spent as much time as necessary with us to answer any questions regarding the house or the beautiful area around. We had a wonderful time and everyone in the group expressed a desire to return. The wood fired hot tub out under the moon and stars, overlooking the lake, won’t be forgotten, nor the beautiful woodland walks or breakfast in Devour on my birthday! Thank you, Thomas and Eileen.

Not an ordinary holiday home!

This is a spacious and comfortable family home filled with sculpture and art and all the conveniences of a home PLUS it is located overlooking the lake with a gorgeous garden, patio and wellness area with hot tub and sauna. We had great fun in the hot tub despite the rain! The owners are so personable and accommodating. They were on site to show us how to use the appliances and hot tub etc and had a lovely gift basket of biscuits, bread butter, jam, and lovely wine which was so thoughtful and kind. It was a cosy stay in a real home.

Fabulous holiday in a beautiful property

We had a wonderful, relaxing week away in this spacious home which has everything we could possibly wish for. The house is in a lovely location and it's design really makes the most of the beautiful views. The property is just like a home from home, very comfortable and incredibly well equipped - it was an absolute pleasure to spend time there. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, ensuring we knew everything we needed to about the property and local area; and very understanding keeping in touch throughout the week using the app. There was ample room, which we loved as our party consisted of three generations, so we could all spread out and come together whenever we wished. Overall, a wonderful family holiday in a beautiful home that we would love to visit again very soon.

A place to come back again and again

Ireland itself and especially this residence gave us way more than we expected. we rent this house for 7 persons and stayed 10 days. In fact it felt more like 3 weeks. You instantly feel home - there is a big difference if the residence is owner used or just commercially used for tourists.

Wonderful break in the west of Ireland

We enjoyed a fantastic week at this wonderful property in a stunning location on Lough Mask. The facilities are excellent and Thomas (the host) was brilliant - so kind, thoughtful and welcoming. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and much appreciated after a long drive! The house is enormous and very well-equipped. Sitting in the hot tub and taking in the view of the countryside is simply sublime. If you are lucky, you may see deer grazing around the garden in the early morning. We drove out to Achill Island, Connemara, Galway and many other places. But there are also many attractions close by: Westport is a beautiful town, and Tourmakeady has a couple of excellent pubs and wonderful walk to a secluded waterfall. All in all, I would highly recommend this property and hope other people enjoy their stay as much as we did.

Wonderful stay at a well equipt property

We had a lovely time here. Thomas and Eileen were kind and courteous and extremely flexible to our needs and requests. The house has so much capacity for a large group, but also nicely sectioned off areas so people can have peace and privacy too. The annex at the far end even has its own kitchen, dining room, bedroom and bathroom. The regular kitchen is well equipt with normal day-to-day things like sugar, salt, spices etc. There's cookware, a microwave, dishwasher, kettle, and even a washing machine and tumble dryer (useful in the west of Ireland!). The hot-tub is nice, but there's so much to do you won't have much time for it. The grounds and general area is so beautiful. You're guaranteed to have a wonderful time here. Finally, I want to say a personal thank you to Eileen for sending us back those items we forgot! That really was above and beyond - you're a very kind person indeed!!! Thank you both to Thomas and Eileen for making our important and special family holilday so comfortable!

Une maison incroyable !

La maison d'Eileen et Thomas est la maison de vacances parfaite. Nous nous sommes sentis choyés et comme à la maison. La maison est très spacieuse, et très propre. Le jardin est grand, la vue sur le lac Lough Mask splendide, et le hot tube extérieur ne manque pas de charme en soirée. La maison est parfaitement équipée, il ne manque rien. Eileen et Thomas ont pris le temps lors de notre arrivée de nous présenter tous les détails de la maison, et nous ont accueilli avec un charmant panier de vivres permettant de démarrer le séjour en toute tranquillité. La communication a été parfaite de bout en bout. Nous avons également pu déguster durant notre semaine les tomates du jardin. Un vrai régal. La maison est idéalement située pour parcourir la région du Connemara et du comté de Mayo. La majeure partie des sites incontournables se trouvent dans un rayon d'une heure (Achill Island, Wesport, Cliffden, parc national du Connemara, Kylemore Abbey, Cong, Leenane, et Cough Patrick, et tant d'autres encore), et les environs tout proche offrent aussi de nombreuses possibilités de promenades, avec des décors naturels à couper le souffle. Le village de Tourmakeady comprend quelques sympathiques pubs où nous avons la chance de participer à des soirées de musique irlandaise. Une épicerie se trouve également à 2 minutes en voiture. Nous remercions encore très chaleureusement Eileen et Thomas. Nous avons passé une semaine grandiose, et c'est en partie grâce à eux. We had a wonderful stay

The Chalet was very nice. Even better equiped than we expected. And with a very warm welcome from the owners. The view is lovely and we had a great time. The hottub was a wonderful surprise. There's a lot to explore in the area. Especially when you like hiking (which we do). Also we visitied Galway, Clare Island, Westport, Achill Island and Omey Island. And of course the Wild Atlantic Way.

Great Holiday

A beautiful house with beautiful views over lough mask. Perfect location for travelling to nearby towns and attractions. The house is very spacious and catered very well for us a party of eight. Our host Thomas was very welcoming and very thorough with the handover of the property. A very generous welcome basket was much appreciated by all. Toiletries were also provided and we could help ourselves to delicious tomatoes and strawberries from the polytunnel! Not forgetting the nice surprise of hot tub! A great time had by all our family, we would certainly love a return visit!!

Wir fühlten uns bei Eileen und Thomas sehr willkommen.

Das Haus ist riesengroß und geschmackvoll und hochwertig eingerichtet. Man merkt sofort, dass es keine reine Ferienwohnung ist. So richtet man nur für sich selbst ein. Ein Perfektionist wird sich eventuell daran stören, dass einige Details nicht handwerklich perfekt ausgeführt sind. Uns hat das nicht gestört. Das macht die schöne und wirklich komplette Ausstattung mehr als wett. Ein Highlight ist sicherlich der Hot-Tub. Draussen im warmen Wasser zu sitzen und mit einem Getränk in der Hand den Blick über den Lough Mask (selten einen See mit so unterschiedlichen Schreibweisen gesehen) schweifen zu lassen, das ist schon ein erhebenden Gefühl. Die Einweisung und Übergabe war herzlich und ausführlich. Ich mag den Humor von Thomas. Wir können diese Ferienunterkunft jedem wärmstens empfehlen. Nicht zuletzt wegen der großartigen Landschaft, in der sie eingebettet ist.

Surpassed expectations!

The house and setting surpassed our expectations. Thomas was a generous host and very accessible. He has a lovely home in a beautiful setting, surrounded by fields, with fabulous views of Lough Mask. The cottage offered ample space and great comfort (in all weathers). I had never been to Tourmakeady and knew nothing of the area but would definitely consider returning there and to the cottage. Our only regret was that we did a bit too much travelling rather than staying put and enjoying the cottage and locality. All the more reason to plan another visit!

Marvellous Mayo

Fabulous host easy going and welcoming but informative about his beautiful and well resourced home. Great base with ease to mountains, lakes and towns. We were party of eight and size of home fabulous. Hammock and vegetables never mind very generous welcome pack highly appreciated.

A beautiful,modern, spacious house full of character and charm

Everything we needed and more while staying at this beautiful home. Stunning views, safe garden full of flowers and lots of space inside and out. The greenhouse, the hammock in the garden, the jigsaws,sheep in the next field, horses down the quiet lane, a super playground and forest walk with waterfall up the road were just some of the highlights for our children. We were treated to a welcome basket on arrival. A big thank you to Thomas for such a memorable holiday in this beautiful part part of Mayo.

Wonderful location, spacious and modern house

We had a wonderful relaxing stay - our daughter and 3 of our grandsons joined us and we enjoyed surfing, walking, eating, drinking and generally having a great time. Any rainy day and you gave the option of high speed broadband and a good tv and sound system - or just out in wet weather clothes and go out. The shopping in Westport is fun and the kitchen in the house is just what is needed for catering for a group. It’s also peaceful with panoramic views across to the lake. We plan to come back!

Wonderful Family Holiday

Our host Thomas gave us a wonderful welcome and spent time showing us his beautiful home and gave us advice and tips for our stay. His home had everything we could need and it was a very comfortable. The fourth bedroom is more suitable for a child than an adult. Thomas was an excellent host. Thank you

Beautiful house on the countryside

Cosy atmosphere. Lot of space. Cute cat. Upon arrival we were friendly greeted by Dr. Thomas, who showed us the house. Beautiful lake view and neighbours sheep. Both adults and teenagers enjoyed the stay.
