”Front desk staff very welcoming and efficient. Some renovations done but not always completed. Didn’t care for long term residents that congregate in hallway for chats. Housekeeping overlooked some cleaning duties. Washcloths were stained. Exhaust fan in bathroom was filthy.”

”Great location. It was newly renovated in 2025 I believe. Great restaurant and bar on site. I wish the bathroom was a little bigger but definitely not a deal breaker. I’d stay there again”

”The apartment had plenty of space for us and had everything we needed for our short stay. Oddly, I never received the "usual" emails from Vrbo with arrival instructions, etc, I contacted the host directly for instructions. He was very helpful and responded quickly. We were pleased to find everything clean and tidy. There were a couple of minor things that need attention, which I am sure will be taken care of. It was evident that things were cared for and in good order there. One thing to know...

”It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. Didn’t know that until the day we left...
