”Didn't actually manage to stay here and had to book alternative accommodation at short notice. Despite checking in online earlier that morning and advising of expected arrival time, I didn't receive the code for the lock box and all attempts at contacting the host failed, no response to phone calls or text messages, in fact the host declined my calls on numerous occasions. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED that this host left a solo female traveler stood outside in the rain and in the dark for over an hour...

”Loved our stay. Our first family trip away with our 10 week old baby and even she loved it. We had everything we needed at our finger tips. The only slight downfall was the Wi-Fi connection. It was quite hard to connect to and very slow. Being in an area with poor reception for data, the Wi-Fi was definitely needed but we both struggled to get any use out of it. Amazing place though, would recommend. ”

”I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...

”Overall great. Ray and Margaret showed us round the apartment and made sure we knew how everything worked. Very good information pack provided. Access to apartment is via an outside metal fire escape style staircase which was slippery when wet. Bedrooms and bathroom have sky lights only and to see the best view from lounge requires you to stand at the window due to the height. It would be a great addition if if there was decking or balcony to use from the patio doors in the lounge.”
