”We were comfortable in our room but we found it unusual that the cleaning staff weren’t cleaning rooms until very late in the day. So the first day we said just leave our room for today but we do require a few things (TP and coffee). Other than that our room was never refreshed at all. ”We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10”

”Our welcome when we arrived was excellent. Liz was very helpful telling us sbout breakfast etc. Our room no 5 was quite spacious and had a nice view of the hillside of the dale. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. Glenn was very efficient and knowledgeable about the area and made you feel relaxed with his banter. The en suite was a tad small but we managed ok. Will return and stay with them again at some point if we are visiting the area.”

”My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and lovely, the staff were friendly and kind, and the breakfast was very filling and delicious. Also, the hotel has spacious parking, and it is not too far from Windermere station, the lake, or many restaurants and shops. Each is about a 10-15-minute walk away. I would strongly recommend this hotel as a comfortable base for enjoying the Lake District. The only slightly disappointing point was that we were not informed...
