”Wir wurden herzlichst empfangen, schon im Vorfeld wurden wir liebevoll per Mail begrüßt. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr herzlich. Das Haus ist urgemütlich - abends mit Kamin. Die Küchenausstattung ist ausgesprochen gut, es war wirklich alles vorhanden, was man so brauchen könnte, sogar scharfe Messer!Und erst der Garten, da fehlen die Worte - ein Meer von Blumen. Und der abendliche Kräutertee aus frischer Pfefferminze schmeckte uns, ebenso das Obst aufs dem Garten.Rosi Busch, du bist eine wundervolle...

”its position could hardly be bettered, on a promontory with views to East, South, and West. We enjoyed the sound of silence, with occasional bleatings from the hillside. We took advantage of many local amenities and sites, shops, restaurants and walks, including the nearby Connemara National Park. All good!”

”Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....

”The property provided us with everything we needed. While there may have been small things that would have improved our stay further we were perfectly comfortable and the location was wonderful, whatever the weather. It was also well situated to explore every corner of Co Mayo, everything being within an hour or so drive ”

”It was a little tough to find the place, but once I did the stay was great. The owner lives in a new house on the lake and rents out the bottom floor to guests. James was very helpful in getting me settled. Everything is new and up to date. The place is a couple miles outside Oughterard village so you probably need a car to best enjoy the place ”

”Our family of 16, ages 76-4, enjoyed a wonderful week at Sunnybank house. We loved having enough room (and bathrooms!) for all I’ve rented a lot of vacation houses over the years and never been in one as well equipped! Everything you could possibly need for cooking was there It’s also walking distance (really) to several good restaurants. Clifden is the perfect location to explore Connemara and Mayo.”

”Gorgeous property, stunning views and the pictures really don’t do it justice. Not one but two en-suites - great when you have teenage kids! Mary has thought of everything, there are even comfy chairs by the windows so you can just relax and take in the lovely views. There are fixed tables and benches outside - perfect for watching the sun set with a glass of wine. I can’t remember when I last felt so relaxed.Bedrooms are huge and beds are so comfy. My kids said it was the best sleep they had...

”Lovely property. The owner is very attentive and happy to assist. The cottage is located in a great spot for touring the area. It has all the amenities and comforts for a wonderful stay. It’s located on a nice quiet road and yet isn’t far from everything you need. The beds are amazingly comfy! We really loved being able to make peat fires in the evening. The kitchen is fully equipped and check in/out was super quick and easy. ”
