”Siempre que nos hospedamos en el Hotel El Guarco, la experiencia ha sido excelente. Hemos estado en varias ocasiones a lo largo de los años, incluyendo una estadía de aproximadamente dos semanas recientemente, y en cada visita el trato ha sido excepcional. ”En ne restant qu'une nuit nous n'avons pas pu apprécier tout le potentiel de l'établissement. Toutefois nous avons bien profité de la piscine d'eau thermale bien chaude pour se détendre.
Le restaurant est correct mais sans plus les portions sont un peu trop grandes.
Les chambres sont spacieuses, la literie très confortable.
Le site est magnifique. Nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps.”
”We purchased a day pass to enjoy the beautiful hot springs at Rio Perlas Thermal Resort & Spa, and it was absolutely worth it! The pools were relaxing and well-maintained, and we also went on a scenic hike that made the experience even more special. One of the highlights was visiting the farm and getting to pet the animals—it added such a fun, unique touch. We had an amazing time overall and definitely plan to return when we’re back in Costa Rica!”

”This property consists of 3 relatively new cabins located inside a secure gate beside to the main road that circles the beautiful Orosí valley. The cabins are surrounded by greenery including a giant stand of bamboo and orange trees from the family’s orchard, which smell delightful! The road is quite busy during the day but very quiet at night and we had no difficulty sleeping. The cabins themselves block most of the outside sound. There was plentiful hot water for the shower from the rooftop...
”Staying here for 2 days was the best part of our trip to Costa Rica! We were treated like family! Albert Alonso the owner is a wonderful chef and he makes everything himself. From bread to pizza, pies and everything in between. He also went over and beyond and called around to find a personal guide to show us around the area that was honest and trustworthy. ”Friendly and nice staff. Quite comfortable. Very good location, in city center of San Jose, was able to walk everywhere. Supermarkets, convenience stores, fast food are near. Great sodas located on the first floor, under the hotel. Very good price overall. Someone here complained: The hot water is near the beginning of the knob as opposed to the back. There are some roaches in the bathroom and they stayed near there, which is the only downside. ”

Yes - the breakfast could be larger or the pool bigger, but I always assess locations from a price/quality perspective and stress cleanliness and security. And from these points of view, Santo Tomas is a first rate choice. Highly recommended. I would go again. ”
