”Pretty nice stay overall. Location's clean and quiet. Deer and peacocks around if you like those. Hard to get lost. Only 5 miles off from stores if you need to pick something up.
Negatives: I'm short and had a hard time reaching things, so I had to buy a stool (that's a me problem, I realize). The wi-fi never worked so I had to rely on mobile data (TV streamed through satellite so that was fine). Dealt with a lot of spiders and flies. Didn't try the hot tub because two wasps were hanging around...

”We stayed a week in the Shagbark Cabin April 18-25, 2026 and the VRBO listing descriptions and photos do not do the property justice. This lodging exceeded our expectations. The cabin is situated on 30-40 acres of older growth forest, similar to the Shawnee National Forest area. There are well marked hiking trails right there on the property.
