Service was friendly, but often not so well functioning.. For example, we asked in the morning, if the restaurant is open for lunch. The answer was, yes the restaurant is open until 22:00. When we entered the restaurant at 14:10, we were told that lunch ended at 14:00 and only small menu is available. Still got something to eat, but...

âExcellent refurbished hotel in the middle of the town. Free parking behind the hotel and attached nice restaurant in the same building. Bed was good and the bathroom just remodeled. Nice views from the room to the mountains! Only negative thing was the noises coming from outside (young people partying until 3am as it was saturday). Chiavenna was a beautiful town! Would come again and stay in this hotel. â

âquite a long walk from train station ( 1 km) no taxis! but pretty well the closest. bar is also reception (which was great as I was desperate for a beer after bus substituted for train! efficient small lift, comfortable room with large comfy bed & plenty of electric plugs. quiet in room despite it being a Saturday, although restaurant full with waiting list. great well priced Italian meal (despite being promoted as Sushi - which was available -after a fashion)! slept well.
