”It is a well maintained and managed old property. The Laurel doesn't have the amenities of modern hotels, but the location, the private balcony with an amazing view was worth the stay. The owner/operators are great folks.They were understaffed but the working staff were great, friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was very good. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive.”

”This is a very reasonable and affordable place to stay as a solo or family traveler. It's a small independent motel that feels like a throwback to the 80s or 90s with actual metal room keys and decor that feels like your Grandma's spare room. The pool is well maintained and clean; the room I stayed in was decently cleaned but the maid definitely needed to check under the bed after the last guests left. The deluxe king bed room itself was enormous for a family of three just spending one night....

”The room is very bare bones, but was clean and efficient. The window was broken, but patched. I saw a review that said the air conditioner was loud, we didn’t need the air conditioner, but I could see why somebody would say it was loud it was on when we got there. Parking was more than sufficient thought there was a really humongous puddle.”

The sunsets are truly incredible, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The front yard has a lot of charm and potential, though the grass was noticeably overgrown during my stay. The experience itself was unusual. I was greeted briefly by someone who handed me the key, but after that I didn’t see a single staff member, and there’s no real reception...
