The pool is great for a dip after a day sightseeing in Porto. The steps into the pool were very slippery and wobbly so care is needed entering and exiting the pool. ”Everything was spot on! Only problem was being able to initially find the property as I had difficulty driving and looking at google maps at the same time and not being conversant in Portuguese. Thankfully we were rescued by the owner as there was a main road closed not marked. Afterwards, things were great!”

”Licinia and her husband were wonderful hosts, easy to communicate with and resolving any issues promptly. The pool.ans outdoor area was great though the weather was bad during our stay so we didn't get to use it.. easy drive to Porto too! The only thing we found was the listing says spa pool and fitness centre which must be a mistake as there is not either of those available a this house.”

”Overall this was a good stay. The riverfront, Cockburn’s & a fantastic Fado restaurant is within easy walking distance Our choice of room was double-booked & we were given the larger house. The ac had been turned off because the nights were cool. The problem was the day was very warm & the house was stuffy and we were told that we couldn’t leave the door open. The owner turned the ac on later in the night & it was very pleasant afterward.”

”This is an amazing house on an amazing property. The house is well appointed and spacious. The pool is enormous, and overlooks the river. We enjoyed watching the tour boats go up and down the river, and passing the goats and chickens on the road. The host has made it very comfortable. The only downside is it is an extremely twisty and steep road down to the house. But totally worth it for the serenity upon arrival.”

”We had a wonderfull time in Francisco`s and Teresa`s house. Both are very nice hosts, reserved but helpful in exploring the area around the Douro. Everything was clean as was the beautiful pool located in a beautiful orange and citrus garden.We thank them both and wish them all the best for the future.”
