”Older property. It served the purpose. Only amenity used was the continental breakfast. Dry goods, cereals, fruit bagels. Set-up in the lobby. Good variety of snacks (granola bars, peanuts, etc). No egg, waffles or potatoes options, but it served the purpose.”

Hustled to check in to watch the USA play in the World Cup and felt like I had been transported back to the 80’s. ”The bathroom had damages. The walls were scratched and had holes in the paint. The shower floor was very slippery and I was afraid I was going to fall. The bathroom floor was also slippery when wet. The step into the room from the outside was too high and I actually fell, which required the fire service to come and help me get up.”

”The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property itself is beautiful right on the lake. It’s absolutely beautiful. However, the rooms left a lot to be desired. The room was outdated. Didn’t have one hook in the bathroom to hang anything on no sink area or vanity for you to get ready in the bathroom. It had a weird sliding door that didn’t have an actual door knob or handle. It was like a piece of metal that ran odd and if you shut it all the way it would catch, and you would be locked in...

”Last minute booking here for us- it is a home in a residential area that has been converted into a “ hostel” type accommodation. There is a restaurant downstairs and it is very close to downtown so the location was great. The property manager was helpful and kind. The only negative thing about the property is I would assume because the building was built in 1908 the plumbing is old so there is an odd sewage smell that comes and goes. ”Do not recommend. Upon arrival we were checked into room 103. We opened the door And all of a sudden we were overwhelmed with a strong cat urine smell. We went to the front desk to ask to be moved, but unfortunately, they could not accommodate us. We ended up leaving. The area was unsafe for our liking. Unfortunately, we were not refunded for the booking.”

”The motel is older, but it has been updated and very well maintained. Our room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Our bed was very comfortable. Right from the moment we arrived the front desk person was exceptional and made sure throughout our stay that we had everything we needed. The motel was easy walking distance to the restaurants, the shopping district, parks, and the boardwalk. We had an exceptional stay at the Flamingo.”
