”The Jackson River Estate was the perfect getaway for our 2025 Family Reunion. The estate is very spacious and provides magnificent views. There is river access but the water is cold. The pool and slide were a big hit! Cole’s Point (beach), the humpback bridge and waterfall were super close and great excursions. This location is great for families that like to be outdoors…hiking, fishing, kayaking…Check-in/out was super easy. Although we heard there might have been a bear, there was no sighting....

”We booked for a sibling birthday retreat- traveling from Texas, NC and Va. The house was quaint, comfortable ( chairs on porch not so much- would have liked rocking chairs as advertised as the weather was perfect for spending time there). ”Better than advertised. Would recommend for for a group of 8 or less. Kitchen is. It equipped for cooking meals but Clifton Forge is only 25 mins away. Camp Director Chasity was very helpful before and during our stay. ”

”The house was lovely and so comfortable. We loved the charm of the property and the updated kitchen. The location was great for access to the Homestead and the local restaurants. It was nice that the bathrooms were not inside any bedrooms so accessible to all. I would definitely stay at the Manse again if I go back.”

”House is charming but old. Five star outstanding features include sleeping porches, a lovely yard and surroundings, and, of course, the magical warm mineral "dipping" creek in the back yard, which are alone worth the stay. I would strongly recommend that owners find a way to install a full sized refrigerator near the kitchen, as the dormitory sized one on the floor, and the full sized one in the basement (which you have to go outside to reach) is quite inconvenient. There are a lot of stairs....
