”I travel frequently for work and stay in hotels often, and this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had.
I prepaid for my room in advance and arrived around 6:20 PM needing to check in quickly before a 7:00 PM client dinner. Instead, I walked into an empty front desk with a sign saying staff was “on break” for 30 minutes. While waiting a few minutes is understandable, having no one available during standard check-in hours is not.
When an employee finally appeared, I asked if he could check...
