”We were moving my mother’s belongings for her in a U-Haul, but decided to take a scenic route through the eastern Sierras and have a couple of nice stays on the way. When I pulled up in front to check in, the bell hop seemed annoyed, even condescending that we had pulled up in a U-Haul. He rather snidely informed us that there was no parking for over-sized vehicles, and then directed me to move it to their loading dock doors (the vehicle was not blocking the driveway in front of the hotel). ”Nice common spaces but the hotel rooms are rather meh. Not a lot of thought went into designing the rooms - lack of plugs (bring an extension cord and power strip), spotty wifi, coffee but no coffee maker, a rather lackluster front desk staff. Not a lot of navigable space in the room, so don't even think about 4 people and all of your ski gear. Not going to happen.”

”Nice hotel with dry sauna, steam sauna and a hot tub. Very quiet, didn't really hear any other guests which was a good thing. Only complaint is that mosquitoes were somehow able to sneak into our room one after another. Not sure where they came from as the mosquito screen in the window didn't have holes in it or anything else. Oh and don't leave any food in your car, appatently there are a lot of bears in the area. ”The location was prime! Lots of restaurants, bars and breweries within walking distance and a short drive to the mountain. We enjoyed our updated room at the Sierra House. It seems some things are still under construction as the building was very new but that didn't bother us a bit. The steam and sauna are slightly outdated but again that doesn't matter to us. We really enjoyed our stay!”
