”Cockroach on 2nd floor. Bug in my room. Carpet from the 90s. Bathroom not clean. I asked for a room near the elevators and he put me at the exit door. Very disappointing considering I had stayed multiple nights. I won't be back. Staff unfriendly.”

”I stayed at Rod & Reel for a family relative. Several relatives stayed there also. I was so impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk and security employees in the main lobby. One family member needed help getting to a family gathering nearby. One lady in particular went above and beyond to assist!”

”The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Parking was convenient, and the breakfast was a nice bonus with a good variety of options. Overall, the property was well maintained and made for a pleasant stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.”

”Our room was in excellent condition when we checked in, and the desk staff could not have been nicer or more accomodating. Even when we got into our room, out TV screen had a welcome message specifically addressed to me by name. While it is a little thing, it certain made me feel welcome. Breakfast was better than most - I got to eat something for we left for the day, and there was coffee and juice available. ”The place is run down and dirty, the fridge was on 3 legs, and the pool was closed.”

”The room had a smell of mildew coming from the bathroom. There was a nice size whole in the wall, and the shower curtain was not clean. The sink in the bathroom was chip in several places. That room need to be remodel and there is water from the ice machine on the floor which can cause a bad accident. The pool is not open, and it look a mess in the back where the pool is. The towels in the room some was not clean. The staff was polite”

”This hotel is very cute, clean and centrally located to the downtown Leonardtown area. Parking was very accessible and easy and I loved that breakfast was included. My only issue was the woman working at the front desk when we checked in. She was grumpy and not very friendly. We arrived at noon so we understood it was early and that all of our rooms might not yet be ready, but she seemed annoyed at us! And didn’t offer any accommodations to help us settle in after a 7 hour drive.”

”Nice enough hotel, staff was friendly. Lacks sufficient parking when it’s busy. My biggest issue was of our 3 nights at the hotel, our room was only cleaned the first night that we stayed there. We came back on days 2 & 3 to the room not being vacuumed, our beds made. None of it. We ran out of clean towels and toilet paper. We decided to leave earlier than expected and return home.”

”The room was cleaned and the staffs were nice. The shower head could use a little cleaning or replacement, which I forgot to mention to the staffs before I left . Other than that we had a wonderful stay.”

”Mary @ Front Desk was more than just that, she is a superstar and made us feel important and not invisible. She went above and beyond to help us when our reservation was canceled even after we were checked in.... it was a nightmare, but she helped us immensely. I will recommend The Spark to anyone traveling in Waldorf! We will also be back in the future.”

”The hotel room and staff were amazing, the one problem I had with this property was that the outdoor pool was not open . The pool was in disrepair. It’s the start of their summer season and that should be open”
