Rentouttava järvi Retreat kanootilla, kajakkeilla, meloa ja purjeveneellä

Poistu päivittäisen elämän kiireisistä asioista ja rentoudu Norman-järven bukolisella länsipuolella. Taloa ympäröi 13 kehittymätöntä hehtaaria, 198 metriä rantapaikkaa. Talo sijaitsee keskellä tietä Norman-järvelle ylöspäin, talo on tarpeeksi kaukana Charlotteesta ollakseen esikaupungin ulkopuolella, mutta riittävän lähellä sivilisaatiota, jotta ravintoloihin ja ostosmahdollisuuksiin pääsee kätevästi. Talosta on hyvä näkymä erittäin leveästä poukamasta, joka on täydellinen uinti, kalastus, melonta, melonta tai meloa. Voit valita uinnin suojatulta rannalta tai uimarannan syvässä vedessä. Meillä on kanootti, kajakkeja, meloa ja pieni purjevene, jotka ovat vuokralaisten käytettävissä maksutta. (Purjeveneen käyttämiseksi vaaditaan tyydyttäviä todisteita purjehduskokemuksesta.) Talo kunnostettiin kokonaan vuosina 2015-2016, ja uusi näytön kuisti lisättiin helmikuussa 2018. Yhdessä makuuhuoneessa on queen-size (kiinteä) sänky ja toisessa makuuhuoneessa kaksi (keskikokoinen) erillistä vuodetta. Sivuhuoneessa on lisävuode (keskikokoinen lujuus) ja olohuoneessa on taitettava sohva (taitettavaa sänkyä ei suositella aikuisille). Koska taitettava sohva on päähuoneessa ja sopii vain lapsille, emme suosittele taloa ryhmille, joissa on yli 5 aikuista.

Kodinhoitohuoneessa on saatavana pesukone ja kuivausrumpu. Jos kylmä tulee, lämpöpumppujärjestelmän lisäksi on puuhella. Ulkopuolella on suuri telakka, jossa on syvää vettä ja tilaa useille veneille. Jos sinulla on vene, on kätevin sijoittaa vene joko Lake Norman -hotellin laskeutumisalueelle, McCrary Creek -alueelle, Hager Creek -alueelle tai Burton Creek -alueelle.

Talo ei ole suuri tai hieno, mutta se on puhdas ja mukava. Vaikka suurimmasta osasta talon huoneita on upeat näkymät, haluat viettää suurimman osan ajasta laiturilla, kuistilla tai vedessä. Varhain aamulla, kun sumu nousee järvestä, on hyvä aika istua telakan kuistilla tai yhdellä rokkarista ja nauttia rentouttavasta kupillisesta kahvia. Ei ole harvinaista nähdä peuroja, haikaroita, kilpikonnia, muskrakoita, ankkoja ja hanhia. Siellä on myös ystävällinen monni, joka tarttuu nenään vedestä ja pyytää ruokkimaan.

2017 oli ensimmäinen vuosi, jolloin vuokraimme talon, joten tällä hetkellä meillä ei ole paljon arvosteluja, mutta teemme parhaamme yrittääksesi tehdä kokemuksestasi hyvän.

Fantastic
Spent the weekend here for a sporting event. This is just a fantastic spot. The lake is besutiful, the water is accessible and shallow for the kiddos. Tje gome is cozy and well appointed. The only thing missing is a swcond bathroom, socif you have a large party, be aware, but everything else was comfortable and perfect. Will stay again.

Beautiful house with stellar views
Richard's house on Lake Norman is spectacular. It sits directly on the lake with all kinds of water sport options right there. I really enjoyed swimming and kayaking right off the dock. Kitchen is well stocked and there is a nice grocery nearby. The house was immaculate and communication and check in were both seamless. I will definitely be back.

Great location for relaxing week at the lake!
Very nice quaint lake house for families! Private dock access and a wonderful screened in porch where we spent most of our time! The location is convenient to grocery/drug stores and restaurants. The owners provided all information that was needed for the stay and was very responsive. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Family fun!
We stayed at Rick’s house for two weeks and had a great time! The house had everything we could possibly need including lake toys and life vests of all sizes. We spent hours swimming and floating off the dock and enjoying time listening to the sounds of nature from the screened porch.

We canoed and waded, bird watched, and ate on the screened in porch through rain. Clean, comfortable, and enough outdoor space for kids under 10 to play on and off the lake. Good place for a small family gathering!

Fishing was great.
The property was as described. Quiet area. My son and I fished from the dock each day and caught some catfish and shellcrackers. Nice area to have a bonfire. Since it was just my son and I ... the single full bath was not an issue - had plenty of hot water for both of us each evening to take back-to-back hot showers. Towels were better quality than we would receive at a hotel. Bed was firm as described - more firm than I like but not a complaint. Super close to grocery store and a handful of restaurants ... 2-3min away. screened in area was also nice - didn't have much of an issue with mosquitos which was surprising but would see the screened in area being a necessity for siting outside after dark during the summer / fall months.

Lake House vacation
The property is set in a quiet cove and has beautiful views of the lake. We especially enjoyed the screened porch. The house was very clean and nicely supplied with almost everything we needed. There is a great grocery store a short drive away. Our stay exceeded all of our expectations.

Our family of 4 adults stayed at this lovely property. Everything is as it is in the photos. Best stocked kitchen supplies I’ve had yet. Lots of space for all. The yard down to the lake is beautiful. Such a peaceful place! We kayaked, floated, and enjoyed it all. So close to the grocery store and places to eat. Mountain Creek Park is 8 minutes away. (Great pickleball courts) we will come to Lake Norman again! Thanks to Rick for being a great host!

The property was just exactly as it was listed. We enjoyed kayaking and swimming in the lake. The house is well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. We especially loved sitting in the screened in porch and watching nature. The house is close to shopoing and dining. The host was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Location
This was the perfect location for our family. We were looking for a place to spend a few days at the Lake where we could relax and enjoy lake life. This house was great. Location was wonderful. Close to shopping and restaurants. We loved being right on the lake and having the paddle board and kayaks. Perfect spot in the cove where there was not a lot of boat traffic. Thank you Rick for accommodating or schedule changes!

Great location, clean, well-stocked lake house
This lake house is clean, comfortable, well-equipped. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is a not comfortable queen bed ( should be a king) and a gas grill in bad condition. The house is very nice, comfortably air conditioned even in very hot weather, has all kitchen and laundry appliances, complete kitchen ware. There's a great dock with kayaks and paddle board. The screen porch is a wonderful space at any time of day. Rick is a very helpful, informative and responsive host.

Very nice property that is off the main part of the lake. Beautiful screened porch area with a view of the lake. Very relaxing. Available kayaks to use made the trip even better. Easy to find and only a short trip to restaurants and grocery.

Cozy, quiet and just what we needed
This home felt very comfortable and well maintained. We were there for our daughter's graduation from UNC-Charlotte. It's not an easy commute, but, I prefer staying at the lake because I do not like how crowded Charlotte has become. The owner Rick responded promptly to any questions. We really enjoyed the screened in porch. The kitchen was adequately stocked with pots, pans and utensils. We do enjoy cooking while away, and although there is nothing like your own kitchen, we managed pretty well. The dock area was also nice and enjoyable. I did notice a kind of musty smell upon entering the home, and when we wiped the kitchen table, it looked as if it hadn't been done since the last guest. But, really, the important areas were definitely clean, like the kitchen sink and bathroom. Cozy, quiet and just what we needed.

Great escape
We wanted a cozy cabin on the lake with a dock for our boat and SUP/kayaks to borrow, with comfy beds and a space for roasting marshmallows on a nice evening. This is exactly what we got, 100%, and we were very pleasantly received and surprised to find it so clean and full of everyday kitchen essentials! The owner is accessible, kind and helpful.

Great Location to Loose Yourself
We stayed during Thanksgiving. The property is very well equipped with lots of items for what your needs my be. The cabinets were more than stocked, too much actually, lol. Ceiling fans are in all the main rooms, which we didn't know but loved. I read reviews stating the master bed is very uncomfortable. I'd hoped that had been replaced since there were several previous comments but it wasn't. It's very uncomfortable and I'm only 55 and in good shape. I woke up sore every morning. I highly suggest to add a box spring. The mattress sits on a box of some kind. A mattress topper or a new 12" foam mattress would be more comfortable. The home is like grandmas house with convenience, homey but with some older furniture that gives it a quaint feel. The water of course is a must to enjoy and escape to even if it's just to swing. We went out in the canoe and took our fishing poles and strolled in and out of coves. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. Rick, our Host, was very helpful. He sent us some recommendations of Christmas events around different towns. We hope to return to this area in the near future.
