We arrived early for check-in but were told the room wasn’t ready—even at the 3pm check-in time. I called and was first told the room still wasn’t available, then placed on hold. Someone else came on and suddenly said it was ready. When we got there, the room was filthy. Crumbs on the pullout sofa, dirt on the bathroom floor, chipped paint, and nicks on the walls and doors.
After returning later that evening from a funeral viewing (the reason for our visit), we discovered the TVs weren’t working—seemed like a connection issue. I informed staff, and their only solution was to switch us to another room because maintenance wouldn’t be back for another week. We viewed the other room, but it was just as dirty and even smaller. Since we had already wiped down the first room ourselves, we stayed put.
The manager (the fifth in seven months, she said) noted the issues. The TVs eventually worked later that night, I called to confirm. The next morning, we tried to use the stove and oven, but the circuit kept tripping. We had to shut off power to the other appliances just to cook before the funeral.
The manager was kind and helpful and did request a full refund through Expedia, but we haven’t received it yet. Overall, very poor experience. We won’t be staying here again.
