”I don’t normally do reviews but I had to for this place. It was a very high-end, upscale B&B. Absolutely beautiful property and room! Gourmet breakfast brought to the room everyday. Very scenic. Bathroom was clean and newly remodeled. Bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend if you are looking for a romantic getaway. ”

”Saw this place on hotel.com and thought I’d give it a whirl. ”Quick response to our question when we got there. Quiet and peaceful, I never heard the barges go by. Easy to find. Short drive to town for groceries and to Maquoketa Cave State Park. Daughters thought their beds upstairs were a little hard (personal preference), but the one downstairs was very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Best set of skillets I have seen in a rental.”

”Great hub for our two day stay to explore Dubuque & the river. Enjoyed hanging out on the front porch watching so many different kinds of birds ( saw pelicans, eagles, vultures etcetera!). Also loved that we could cross the street and stroll the scenic river walk. Lori was very responsive to all of our prep emails. Would definitely reccomend for those looking for a quiet stay in the area.”

”Ensure you have AWD or 4WD and good tires. It’s a 10 miles drive on a very muddy/gravel, low maintained road with lots of holes. There were several times my van almost got stuck and I was sliding all over the road.
